will the battery be user accessible? looking at the desire z vid it desire z battery can easily accessed, but I have not come accross any info for the desire hd
i will post the pics here once he send it to me 2mrw nite for sure
i think (and this is purely my limited opinion) the type testing is to test and make sure the software is up to a certain level of compliance to android standard for compatibility. Since android in the DHD is probably somewhat standard, its probably the new Sense UI that is currently failing the test. Anybody feel free to correct me if im wrong.
but if this is the case, unless there is a revamp in the DHD hardware wise I do not really see how this might not be fixable via a software/firmware patch in the near future.
did you manage to ask him who is covering the warranty?

is better than u start whining when there is problem with the phone where other people in later batch dont have..
point taken. but like i said unless its hardware, a firmware update should be able to solve it.
but guess i should be saying much ... d last time i bought my n95 8gb nearly 1 year after it was made available just so that i know i was having a stable OS.
but for those who really "gien" to have the DHD before everyone else ...

first unboxing video of desire HD, yes.. he unbox it.. lol at the part where the music mutes just so that viewers could hear that knocking sound on the aluminium back... btw, HTC Desire is not made by aluminium on the sides? is it? or does it have a lil bit aluminium on the sides.. i noticed that its a metallish surface
somebody shoould break it to the poor owner... its not a virgin box.. 0:29 into the vid notice all the crease on the box lid??? sorry la dude... it has been de-flowered before lol
it stated in his youtube d~ btw, love the fastboot! and target LOCKED!
really he stated in d youtube channel liau? opps pai seh..
this is not the first video showing the htc start up in 2seconds that i have seen... but i am still sceptically leh..is it really shutdown or sleep mode only. HTC corporation i need one real unit NOW to make sure it really startup in 2seconds
alrite.. as promised yesterday nite for the pic of the DHD..
i smsed him just now.. asked him whether did he send the pics to my email already.. not suprisingly, he told me that his online supplier has cheated him and ran away.. hes gonna make police report 2mrw.. i asked him the rm1699 desire is it from same supplier.. he said yes..
conclusion: Do not buy phone which is not officially release yet n with extremely low price compare to market price
ah well not entirely surprising rite? wat is surprising is he did reply ur sms that he cant get u the phone. nasib no transactions yet
no i just worried like last time Desire. After a month then only selling contract free set ....
hmmm if its going to take so long to get a malaysian DHD... AP set here i come!! I mean if I can get a DHD at SD888 and KL price is going to be the same.. who cares especially since I can get it sooner?

notice how all the screens got a colour cast on them. the only one without a colour cast or the most neutral screen seems to be the second one from the right.
so sad... so many phones launched AFTER the DHD was has already been announced with price in KL... SiS/Maxis still saying "tak tau"?

Short article... but there was a part of the article that said "1-1.5 seconds to boot from the hibernation mode, with a cold reboot taking roughly half a minute" at least this seemed more reasonable then the 2 second startup everybody have been raving about.
since the froyo in SGS doesn't improve the performance,im thinking to jump ship
u obviously want to get the DHD already rite.... deep down inside u. which is why u kept posting here. if u didnt have any interest with the DHD u wouldnt have posted here so often rite ?? so be true to ur heart
this is all about the unibody design ==" .. they could not fit a larger battery due to that.. they should go for an ugly back and put in 1700 ==" i was looking forward for 3rd party batteries from seido and mugen too.. lets up just hope there would be 1500-1600 mAh at the same size.. but, does it happen to htc legend?
I have seen 3rd party batteries that was even rated for double the capacities of the original ones (not DHD or Desire batteries). basically speaking Li-ion batteries have not really evolved at the rate computer chips, so even if you do see some 3rd party batteries rated higher then the originals - buy it with lots of doubt.
Besides - what is really stopping the 3rd party manufacturer from claiming that his battery is 10000000mhA when it only holds 1000mhA? If they managed such technological breakthrough they will be winning the nobel prize.
guys, it seems like there is an issue with the proximity sensor not working on the DHD ==" .. european users are reporting it.. the phone wont respond once u pick up ur call and the screen goes dark as the proximity sensor is triggered.. the only way to enable back the screen and buttons is by pulling the battery out..
wow thats serious flaw... seems like a software flaw rather then the proximity sensor though. guess its good that the europeans are the DHD guinea pig 1st. Hopefully by the time it we get it the problem is fixed
is AMOLED so important until vs a SLEd or TFT? i mean even laptop screens these days has contrast ratios of 1000:1 which is very high imo. i did rather go with the screen that gives better battery life, better bright sun viewing or higher pixel density

It's possible that it become double standard too! Maybe in Europe, it will be SLCD and in Asean, its only TFT. We have seen so many consumer item become double standard, maybe due lack of technical demand.
If somehow we united to demand this!
for all u know thats y the decided to change the official DHD video from SLED to hi-res screen. maybe coz they could source enuf SLED that later batch all tft only hahahah
