I bet it's because the Malaysian market is small.HTC Desire HD - officially launched in Asia Pac, The Ace has arrived. Soon to Malaysia

QUOTE(lhongwuh @ Nov 15 2010, 10:31 PM) the specs for the phone is there i think and the design seems ok. but its the OS leh... i know it looks plain and simple, but i dont think i will do plain and simple within the first few months. I am more of a "information overload" person. i like it having a lot of stuffs. LTE phones should be launched in early 2011 rite? it prob be a really good reason to skip DHD since it wouldnt support LTE anyway. When LTE is launched here I think the resale value of the DHD will plunge. Waited 2 month for the DHD, I really need a phone to replace my failing E71 (not worth repairing IMHO). Finally last week I settled for SGS - I figured I need a phone now and for practical reasons no device is worth the 3month wait (unless you just want it for a toy). Also they are worries about battery consumption and big screen/same resolution issue (though the HD2 looks fine for me) etc
SGS works just fine, no GPS problems, put in the lag fix and it bearable. No phone is pefect. |

Yup, exactly. By the time the DHD is finally available here, I bet within 3 months or so you will see leaked news of the DHD successor. So I asked myself, do I want to make myself wait and wait and wait just to finally buy a phone that will be obsolete within 3 months or so? The answer is NO WAY. Even SGS/N1 successor, the Nexus 2 is already on the rumour mill and we're still waiting for the DHD? What a joke. Anyway, I've given waiting. I bought a Samsung Wave two weeks ago. Bada is no Android, but I'm still very happy with the phone overall. Super AMOLED screen is gorgeous. And at least I'm holding it in my hands, not looking at pictures of it online. To those who are waiting, yea, I wish you good luck. This post has been edited by clutch31: Nov 16 2010, 02:59 PM |

DHD was launched in Asia on 8 Oct in Taiwan. On 15 Oct they had a private event in Msia to launch it as well.
But here we are, in the middle of November with December coming soon, and still we can't buy the phone. Seriously, what is the point of having an official launch for a product if it's not even going to be available for another few months? And what's worse, for Malaysia, we don't even have a clue when it will be made available. This is just very sloppy marketing work. |

Agree , malaysia is so slow somemore , each time any phone reach m'sia, new phone released and advertise , so you might want to wait the new phone for another 10 years
