Have been experiencing some glitches in my mini. I assingned a ringtone stored in my SD card to a fren. When calls come in from that friend of mine the specific ringtone would play. But there are times when insted of the ringtone I assigned playing, the windows default ringtone(really sucky,piano kinda sound) would play. Any reason for this? I never assigned that ringtone to any of my sound notifications so how did it play? Issit a bug in the Photo Contacts program?

i have a minor matter here. my messages notification icon remain showing there even i have no message mark unread. when i tap on it, prompt me saying 'message sent'. normally, if message sent report prompt and the icom just dissappear. but now, i won't till i soft reset. hm.... anyone?

and i saw online some screen shots they can have icons of programs or icons for the battery and such to display (meter or some sort)...how to do this or dl the application for this...

i found a few application for displaying battery and memory in the today...
but when i install each time on the ppc it says the current version is incompatible with my OS as mine is newer...but its for WM2003SE...
why is this?even the MSN update for PPC i got from o2 also says the same...

btw...in alil confuse bout the memory...
it comes with 64 ROM and 64 RAM rite...ROM is used to the built-in software OS n such rite...those tat cant be erased...and RAM is for applications tat can be erased and also the memory when u run the PPC...am i right?

Yeap. Most probably it will work fine, at least it did for me for most apps.

Just curious... I see a lot of people download their anime then watch in their O2 Mini... How do you do that?

I have only a 256Mb SD Card that was bundled along when I bought my Mini. Each anime is sized around 150 - 200Mb. Which probably means I can only put in 1 anime per SD Card.

My friend mentioned something about a coverter. I'm not sure what he said because I wasnt paying attention but I think I heard him saying something that's connected to your Mini and then transfer the movie from your PC to your Mini, the file size will automatically shrink to fit your SD Card... True ah?!

Or is it if my anime is 180Mb, transfer to my Mini's SD Card will also takes up 180Mb space?

For movie conversion i use SMARTMOVIE... Easy to use and quality amazing... There's also other converters like Pocket DVD Wizard 2005... Pocket DVD Studio... DVD to Pocket PC 2.5...

I think one movie (2hours) around 120mb

Had unfortunately dropped my mini yesterday, from about 2 feet. The mini was in the silicone casing and was in a small pouch. No big dents or scratch...lucky me, except that I noticed a protrusion of the top casing from the black side grip. Normally the black color side grip and the top casing will meet nicely but now the black color side dented inwards causing a bit of the top metal casing exposed. Im worried as this might caused dirt to collect. Is it wise to try pushing it up to fit again?

Im just a bit heartbroken that it doesn't look perfect like before. Though if I didn't tell you, you would not have spotted it. Im just that kind of guy.... like to keep my precious things in the best conditions as possible for as long as possible..
Looks like even the silicone casing couldn't prevent this from happening, something I felt even the standard leather casing provided by O2 could have prevented..

i think if u can push the casing back then do it, make it looks better ma.

I never use flashdash before, scare will lag. u try and tell me how is it

china/taiwan (chinese) mini o2 is called dopod 818, there is some info

the only different is the dopod 828 got higher ram, 128mb & different design
the size, weight, camera, color, bluetooth, os all same.

Yeah I saw the Dopod PPC....looks a bit like the mini but black in color and have different hard buttons...funny thing is that it has all the same programs,processors but has 128ram....

Inquired bout new casing from O2 Service centre...If u wanna change...:

Top Casing= RM121
back casing=RM52
Whole Housing=RM299

Data must be backed up before sending as all will be lost. Unfortunately no stock for casings at the moment.....
So for those who wanna cahnge ur casings, you gotta wait...
