Reply to an earlier question.
Whats bad about the mini? From personal experiences....

1) The camera can be a tad better. sad.gif Picture quality leaves a lot to be desired especially when you take pictures at night. As a friend of mine said "Whoa like raining". This is because there seem to be a lot of noise inteference when you take pics in the dark. The result will be a pic with lotsa white dots. Happens especially when you put picture size to XL. Pics in the day are much better. Though I have yet to get a hang of it. The pics I take looks blurry when I view it on the computer. Other modes like black and white, sephia and negative are a much welcomed camera option on the mini surpassing most of what other phone companies include in their camera phones. smile.gif

2) Wifi is supported but not included therefore you have to buy the SD-WIFI card. Currently selling with 256mb built in, it can replace the standard SD bundled with the phone without compromising space. I havent personally used it but from what ppl say, it protrudes from SD card slot thus making it look funny(Havent seen it but i guess it looks like a fat antenna). Can anyone tell me how long does it protrude? 1cm? 2cm? .....anyway 1Gig of mem? Sounds interesting... thumbup.gif

3) This may apply only to me. After updating my rom from seeO2.com which wasn't a hassle at all, I installed spb pocketplus program(A today screen utility program). Apparently some of my friends tell me that they will receive 2 messages from me when In fact I only send one. I know this issue has been raised before but I can't seem to find any reply to this question in the previous postings. Maybe someone or anyone with experience can tell me how to overcome this? sweat.gif

In conclusion. Nothing is perfect but the Mini comes close. rolleyes.gif Its smaller than a XDA2s/XDAIIi..yet retains all the functions except for wifi. The minimalistic looks are eye catching and is always a hit with the crowd. biggrin.gif The novelty of having a PDA/Phone to impress your friends and clients.
Practicality!!!! Why have two gadgets when you can have them both in one.. cool.gif

I am deciding to get an O2 XDA mini by the end of this month. Now still survey the pros cons of it.

BTW, just want to check with the O2 XDA mini owners here:
1.) is the voice clear and loud compare to Nokia 3650? I am very particular of this as i really having a hardtime on receiving calls from my 3650.
2.) How abt the ringtone? is it loud as well?

Since i am thinking of switching from handphone to PDA phone, that will be my my concerns so far... sweat.gif
Thanks in advance for answering my question notworthy.gif

If i'm not mistaken, this problem arises when you "close" the sms program before the sms has finished sending. The next time the messaging app is opened, it's tricked into thinking that the sms hasn't been sent yet and thus it'll send another copy.

Solution is don't press "x" when sending sms. Minimize instead.

Did it work? Let me know.

Erm. Forgot about my own problem.

After flashing to v1.11 ROM, did anyone notice that the photo contacts app has been screwed up? Suddenly when assigning photo to one contact, somehow the same photo is assigned to another contact at the same time and when I try to unassign from the incorrect contact, both are removed... seems like some kind of memory leak problem sad.gif any fixes yet?

another solution posted by someone and i am using it
go to setting - > system -> Sbp pocket plus
select close option -> feature options
select exeption -> add
go to windows, select tmail.exe
that all .. .
it should minimize the prgoram instead closing it when u click "X"

Shreaker.

Thanks for ur explanation. I guess thats the most logical reason for the phenomena. Im using the solution suggested by Tyj82. It totally eliminates the possibility of this occuring again.

As for the photo contact error. I experienced it too when I had to reassign all the photos and ringtones. But after a few fixes, the bug has gone away and Im using photo contacts as usual.

One thing though, after upgrading to the new ROM and installing Spb Pocket Plus I noticed my O2 getting a bit laggy when starting new programs, even when I have about 18megs still unused in my program mem allocation. Besides that everything fine.

Anyone know how to crack Lemonade Tycoon?
