so now we have potentially 3 bidders Kenny Huang, Yahya Kirdi, and the Rhone group ??
who the hell is yahya kirdi? I only know he's a businessman which used to play international football for syria. so which of the 3 would you like? for me rhone group sounds ok with their large financial background. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Aug 4 2010, 10:42 AM) Mate, trust me when I saw you aren't the only one. In the time that I've been a football fan, I've noticed that winning trophies matters more to Liverpool fans than any other, probably because we aren't accustomed to winning, well not as much as the mancs or Chelsea anyway. Many of their fans grew up in a winning environment, so much so that 2 seasons without a trophy turns out to be a mild form of tragedy. It's simple really. When you have things come your way ever so often, you begin to take things for granted. Personally, such moments of glory will stick in my head forever. Memories of the game are so vivid, it was as though it was played yesterday. When I first started supporting Liverpool, we had just won our last league title and in the years that followed after, we had only won 3 cups including a League Cup and the Charity Shield, neither of which are worth a shout. Needless to say, when we won in Istanbul, years of pent up emotion burst out. It was the same for the 3000 odd Liverpool fans I was with in Hartamas until 6 am in the morning. Some of us stayed on and partied till 7am when daylight finally made us realise that we had to go home, shower and go to work! I've never seen such a celebration in my life. People were on the streets as cars stopped by where we were, with their drivers and passengers getting out to dance in the streets with us. Every other car that passed by honked in support. I saw what it meant to us and the sight of thousands of strangers coming together as one further cemented my belief on what it means to be part of Liverpool Football Club. It says a lot that we still speak about that night in May like it was yesterday. I sometimes get accused of living in the past but on the contrary, I just cherish it is all. I was at Hartamas that nite,,mate,,Back to the "One Night in May" video. 2 years after Istanbul, I made my maiden trip to Anfield with a friend. We watched the game against Arsenal in which we won 4-1. Prior to that, I visited the Liverpool FC museum and noticed a room dedicated to our triumph in Istanbul. I walked in and they were playing the "One Night in May" DVD. In the room was about 50 other fans who were sat in front of the screen. I joined them for a good 30 mins and by the end of it, I could see people brushing their eyes. I realised then that I wasn't overly sentimental and I no longer felt like a soppy little girl. Grown adults from other parts of the world wept as I did when I first watched the video! hahaha,, that nite was awesome,,,after the game, i went back to Shah Alam, & the roads from Hartamas to Shah Alam,, were filled with cars with LFC scarf flying high,,, I still remember, i think prior to the kick off, the organiser ask some fans to sing YNWA , sadly a few so called 'Liverpool fans' do not the lyrics... i hope they do by now |

QUOTE(CrossFirE @ Aug 4 2010, 12:15 AM) i feel want to cry when i watch that video too. i still remember that time when i was watching that match with my cousin and i was about to give up in the first half because of the score but my cousin told me to stay and watch the whole game. For the first time in my life, i will always remember that time and i glad that i stay for the game. When i saw dudek saved the penalty against Svenchenko, i really jump around my house and shout like crazy. I even heard some guys out from my house shout like crazy. It is really amazing of how that moment which will really impact every liverpool's fan lifes. everything start when I saw it myself Smicer scored the 2nd goals , in my head I dont really believe what is happenning that night,to be honest 1st goal and the 2nd goal I never thought that will go in , the memories will always live in my mind , watching at home when I was only 16 years old alone in living room.My feeling is like want to wake up everyone nearby my neighbourhood to watch this miracle moment , bought harian metro on nxt day and cut all pictures from paper and still keeping them |

Chinese businessman Kenny Huang has confirmed his interest in investing in Liverpool, but says he has not made a formal offer for the club.
Huang, who is the founder and chairman of Hong Kong-based investment company QSL Sports Ltd, has been linked with a bid to buy out Liverpool's debt. Current Liverpool owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks are looking to sell and several parties are reportedly interested in a takeover. However, in a statement released to The Sport Briefing by Huang's representatives, the QSL chief has stated that reports of an official bid are premature. Registered interest The statement read: "In response to widespread media reports that Kenny Huang had made a formal bid for Liverpool Football Club, Mr Huang would like to emphasise that he has registered interest in investing in Liverpool FC but has made no formal bid. "There has been much speculation and commentary from a wide array of people, many of whom have little knowledge of the facts. "Unless there is a statement that specifically comes from Mr Huang or his authorised representatives, which presently is solely Hill & Knowlton Hong Kong office, we would suggest such comments should be given little credence. "At this point in time there is nothing further for Mr Huang to announce. If there comes a time where this changes, we will make the appropriate announcements." Huang is backed by one of the wealthiest investment funds in the Far East and is well known in China for his interests in baseball and basketball, having last year bought a 15% stake in NBA franchise Cleveland Cavaliers. He also has long-term deals to develop China's domestic baseball and basketball leagues in a nation where the two sports are rapidly growing in popularity. Added on August 4, 2010, 11:31 pmTime for Inter to put up or shut up if they want Liverpool star Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has acknowledged that Javier Mascherano will probably leave the club but only if the right offer comes in and speaking candidly at a press conference Hodgson made it clear he still regards Mascherano as a Liverpool play and unless a club comes in with a proper offer he will remain an Anfield player. Hodgson did admit that he will find it harder to persuade Mascherano to stay in the same way he did with Fernando Torres saying “I think that will be slightly more difficult. “If a big offer comes in for him and it is a club that he wants to go to, I think that will be harder. No offer however has come in despite all the rumours and speculation Hodgson will carry on with business as usual as he explained further “But the good thing for me at the moment is that we haven’t had that offer and as a result I can continue to work with him and deal with him as a Liverpool player and consider him as a Liverpool player and just wait for the day, if the day comes, when the offer comes in. “Then maybe if the offer comes in and it was the offer that meets our valuation and he wants to go, then I don’t know that my powers of persuasion will be much good in that situation. “But maybe they will never be needed because we might not get the offer and he might stay with us.” It is common knowledge that Inter Milan with former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez in charge do want Mascherano and it is now down to the Italians to come up with a decent bid or else they will find that time has run out and that Mascherano remains a Liverpool player. one night in may - watched a few times - teared
investors - someone with passion for the club is essential. everyone can talk about cash, in the end, passion is the most important thing. the yanks talked about money in the beginning of their reign. see what they got us into? so i prefer someone with passion. we dont need all the best players in the world. just another 2 or 3 will do |

QUOTE(derekwg @ Aug 4 2010, 08:00 PM) hi guys. Poulsen are quite good actually, during his stint with us he might not be as brilliant as he was at Schalke & Sevilla(might be to diff league style). But he's surely the best DM in our ranks. And im kinda prefer him to stay with us rather than felipe Melo. But if he really leave us for Pool, then good luck to him |
