QUOTE(Burningsunz @ Aug 3 2010, 04:27 PM) Clock is ticking for Liverpool buyout Chinese tycoon Kenny Huang has made an offer to buy out the American owners of Liverpool, and has given them 10 days to decide. According to reports from the Sun, Huang is adamant that if an answer is not given by then, the Chinese billionaire and his backers will simply walk away. Liverpool is treating him as a serious bidder and chariman Martin Broughton has already opened talks with Huang's group. The Chinese tycoon has stated that if the take-over is successful his group will make funds available for transfers and also keep key players like Fernando Torres at the club. He has also assured fans that his group will also plan to get Liverpool's long-term future in order by getting their new 60,000-seater stadium off the ground. However, the question remains if the Chinese offer on the table is enough to sate the appetites of American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, who are looking to make a tidy profit from their purchase price three years ago, despite their unpopular reign. If all else fails, Huang could also circumvent the current ownership by simply buying over Liverpool's £237m debt from the Royal Bank of Scotland and use that to ultimately take control. so now its a win win situation for us? if they wont be able to buy the club they will buy the debt off LFC which mean they can just force those yank to get out of their club QUOTE(Burningsunz @ Aug 3 2010, 05:45 PM) and they took it from the s*n |

QUOTE(triple02 @ Aug 3 2010, 06:07 PM) even if Huang buys the debt off RBS, Im sure he will call the loan in and give them an ultimatum either put up the cash or give up the shares. 'agressive manuvering' by kenny on the RBS debt but because G&H is on the LFC board, if they can somehow repay the debt (of course they probably wont use their own money but lets just say if they did) they can still sell to 'donkeys' (pardon the anology) other than the Huang's QSL group.Being the business man that i think he is im sure he'll insert a caveat under the terms of the loan that under no circumstances that the club's star players are sold to repay the debts, after all G&H are owing money to the Huang group and not RBS after he buys off the debt. Huang will have the absolute control over the terms & condition of the loan and can call it as he pleases. The only way for G&H will be to get another loan from another bank to pay off the debt owed to Huang or use their own money thats how i see it if Huang buys off the debt off RBS. Shrewd very shrewd. Huangs QSL sports portfolio seems pretty 'real' in getting 'business' into sports. from the news snippets of the basketball & the yankess. they (Huang's QSL bid) would represent A clear & present good news to the long suffering fans of LFc. it not some super rich oil man who has zero on sports business. |

to be honest i dinnae care if the to be owners have a real interest in soccer/football or sports.
everyone's dossier can be padded up and made to look good. Heck, the muppets said all the right things and had what appeared to be good credentials when they first arrived i just want someone with bloody money, someone rich enough to wipe out the club's debts and build us a new stadium. genuine love for the club is secondary at the moment if you ask me. |

Money (even if borrowed) & no love for the LFC history & club, it would be a merry-go-round of stupidity owners. No as fans, I would fan my disapproval. |

The downside would mean less emphasis on 'better' & further quantity reinforcements* (look at gunners) in which we would hope the our academy players comes good sooner then later.also as much as the marketing dossier looks an uppeth notch over the cowboys, the long haul is opening a huge huge penetration into the china market. Success of 'Yao ming' in US for china is tremendous. I'm sure Huang's QSL is readily able to exploit that, if he is able to wrest control. 'REd Army', gives a whole new meaning if the situation does comes about This post has been edited by koolspyda: Aug 3 2010, 07:15 PM |

Wealth and love are equally important.See David Moores, as much as he loves the club, he cant bring it any further without wealth.

Britain in the recent times hasnt really produce new 'rich', (the forbes kind of super rich).only the oil giants russians, the sheikhs (also oil), americans (the buffet, gates types) & probably some sports VC's abeit their whealth ain't as deep as the oil tycoons. british rich ? even the queen isnt on high list. thanks to the super splurges of chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, RMadrid <tis takes the cake, the meaning of taking club to the next level is completely mind blowing.
