if you wanna get good signal, swtich to 2G only or type *#*#4636#*#* change to GSM only.

I dun knw the adb way of doing it...

last time i use flashrec-1.1.3-20091107-2 to push the the recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2 in....can I do the same way...

I have no reception problems with official 2.1 ROM. I have tested the Hero with my other phones (N86, N82, W995), and there's no discernable difference between their receptions.

GSM works great for all, but 3G sometimes has 1 or 2 bars. I think this has more to do with Maxis than the phone.

Guys, any ways to get the android robot as your startup screen? I don't quite fancy the htc logo start up

I only know a way, which requires you to know how to re-sign apk/zip.

Attached is an example of bootanimation.zip, taken from one of CM nightly builds: http://db.tt/GoDGROT or goto xda at http://goo.gl/kjKO

Drag and drop the bootanimation.zip to /system/media/ of you ROM, OR to a flashable zip. I'd suggest you use a flashable zip, so you won't kacau other stuff in you /system/



Then you sign it.

Quick Overview: basically they're replacement for your search button when you long press it, used to quickly toggle your wifi on or off OR screen timeout to never timeout (always on) or restore screen timeout setting.
