If your BIOS is corrupted, you can't even ON your notebook....
at worst, your screen will show some artifact and hang...

bcoz it appear BIOS corrupted ...
then i reset everything ~.~
even enter BIOS it's no longer blue screen with ti sound @.@

force to enter the BIOS ><
I enter few time just manage to enter the BIOS @.@
then go find the reset under the BIOS setting, but luckily i did it ~.~
bcoz normally ppl need to tare off the harddisc, GPU and reset the motherboard o~
after manage to enter window i straight away refresh the BIOS and it allow me not even state ur BIOS up to date >.<

If still can ON and enter the BIOS, then its not corrupted....
I have done the setFSB many times and hang a lot with the Acer and still none affect the BIOS sweat.gif

Why need to force enter the BIOS? Too quick? How to force?

usually by flashing wrong bios....
its not store in the hdd....

BIOS is on MOBO smile.gif...not related to HDD in any way..and like lee said, flashing the BIOS wrongly will caused it to corrupt and when this is done, the laptop sure cannot be ON anymore, unless its not that severe, then maybe can flash it back using DOS icon_rolleyes.gif

i keep on try enter the BIOS during start up, i fail mainly time ~ dnt know why suddenly can enter but the BIOS really look weird one ~~ all the word not clear at all @.@
bcoz once i enter BIOS it keep ti sound one ... scary man !!
i use the software to set the fans speed which corrupt the BIOS @.@
