my friend's hp laptop..

tried to turn on today.

blank screen with scroll lock and caps lock light blinking..

which is weird.. the laptop was in tat condition before it burnt also..

what could be the problem?

there is reason why short battery life in M11x. look for the internal design ^^ it's suffering from the heat release inside the netbook.

Michael?? john_jay?? ..well, from my source, M11x can last for about 5 hours max..if after 3 months the battery life being reduced 30%, then after 9 months sure no more liao

The hard way is try the pll one by one till it detect the correct fsb speed....

Dackson, try this one SLG8SP513V...
though the SLGxxxx usually can't set the fsb

SLG really work ? previously i try those code near to astria ASUS n81, end up my BIOS corrupted ~.~ Scary !! Using try and error method really risky man ~ I manage to play with the FSB but fail to clock it ~~

It won't corrupt your BIOS...
