Dude , didn't Nokia confirmed that , its using the Broadcom BCM2727 GPU and meaning you could get three hours of 720p HD video capture on your Nokia N8 . Moreover , the n8 mostly uses its GPU to render most of its things. So , probably more battery efficient.

GPU might drain more power than CPU oh...

On a side note , 469Euro for this is quite cheap i might say , SLCD's devices aren't released yet and devices that are going to use this are the Nexus One and the Desire. Which costs about the same as the n8 pre-order's price. Around Rm2k
As for the Retina display which is on the iPhone 4 , it costs a beefy Rm2.4 to nearly 3k in order to get one which is even worst (Might vary if telcos with plans)

I just wanted to discuss about the phone here.. never waiting for it...

I have lost fate with it....

as I said before.. there is major things keep me away from N8...

1. Display resolution... I have enough internet surfing in nHD screen already...

2. stability/software support of symbian...

Symbian is a good OS... but I donno why Nokia never ever make a very stable symbian OS....

Nokia did mention earlier that the n8 will be released in Q3 , isn't September Q3?
And aren't you one of Nokia's FANBOY? Why getting discouraged by just waiting a wee bit longer? Moreover , you are the TS and you're giving bad influences to the newbies.
I do remember fans of iPhone will not quit being an iFan even tho that the iP4 has a kinda major antenna problem?

1.... I don't think Nicholas is a Fanboy... coz he use all kind of phone... maybe.. u can say he still like Symbian and supporting symbian...
we, consumer... buying something that we think it worth.. and we like.. we have our choice... I see Nicholas somewhere a bit like me.. use Symbian several years... of course hoping they will get better... but up to a point it doesn't up to our expectation, that is.. we are no fanboy of plateform.. rather.. we choose what we suit us.. ur friend is iFan.. doesn't mean we have to be like him.. or rather sound like you we MUST support nokia here.. blindly.... sorry to say that this is a public forum, we freely express anything in our opinion....

2. the video showing me it is flying also mean nothing to me... u can see plenty of smooth operation video in the net for n97... in reality.. what it is?

1. Sorry i wasn't intending to offend nor to be offended just stating the facts and i do agree that we are free to suggest any opinions .
But , some of us sure did saw that Nicholas himself said that he is a Fan of Nokia but his previous statement doesn't look nor seem like one .
He , as a TS ought to be more post more positively posts then negative ones that would result in newbies even more confused .

On a side note , i do not have a friend of a iFan , i've just put it as an example of a fanboy which TS claims he is previously .

2. We all know that n97 was a failure , videos in the net or in reality its the same . Maybe there is a few vids that is smooth probably with a few tweaks here and there. The only smoothness i saw on the n97 was in the Nokia official teaser for itself and yes , no hard feelings kay?
