I know la. Android also open source, and even though the overall response is quite good, its still way behind Iphone. It will be a very long journey for Nokia, thats for sure. For me, I would completely avoid buying a Nokia smartphone for good. Why? I dont want to be white mouse. Nokia is currently having no direction at all. If you read their roadmap, it really sounds nice but are they going to achieve it or just plain talk? Developers already walked away one after another, how are you going to attract customer to buy your phone when your app is limited.
Right now, Android is the big hot shot. Everyone want a piece of it. As for Nokia, I dont even think N8 is going to last even a year if they cant find enough developers to make it interesting. Just a comparison, when Iphone were still unheard of and Android is not even in the making, how many app do you find for Nokia S60V1,2,3 vs S60V5? There aint that much new app really. Even the games were mostly ported java games. Thats why Nokia share is at all time low.
I kinda agree that Nokia is already lost direction . But theres still hope for Nokia since Meego is around the corner.

OMFG get poisoned by the Wave.. look @ the screen... really get stunned.... and the size of the phone just fit in my palm nicely..! how I hope it can run Android... BUt heard report say the Bada is kind of stable.....
real fast too!
Yeah , the Wave is worth considering but we should wait for the n8 to be release only to decide to whether or not to buy that. The only downside for the Wave is the lack of support , if its not for the n8 i would already bought the Wave .
Wave nice meh? Dont buy phone for its look lor, later become like Jet. Not much choices for software which makes the phone loses its appeal.
Wave doesn't really has a nice look on it , only sleek. On the software part , probably there will be choices because Samsung is using its very own Bada OS . But you will never know what they are going to do.
yes, agree with u, look Motorola MILESTONE XT720 a slide phone and qwerty Keyboard it only 10.9mm thick can carry 1390mAh battery, but N8 no slider and no qwerty keyboard 12.9mm thick only carry 1200mAh battery
i'm still doubt about battery life of N8, cos i using N900 that carry 1320mAh, can't last one whole day with really heavy using, sometime phone shut down before i reach home
Symbian doesn't use that much of resources . Therefore , uses less battery? Not sure tho
1. screen size of N8 & N900 is same both 3.5in, but XT720 is 3.7in 2nd and 3rd is really drive me crazy, Nokia throw in 1320mAh battery in N900 while 1500mAh battery already exist are u sure? my N95 only last (max)2 days at tiny screen today technology can make huge screen for phone, but only make low capacity on battery
Haha , AMOLED screen wor , should be more energy efficient. About the battery , maybe it is harder to make it better and nicer one
yea....hope AMOLED can increase battery life for daily use haha....i almost forgot N95 have dual CPU....now my N95 battery nearly half-dead...only last 4-5 hour after full charge
N95 already been in the market for so long , the battery's lifespan also shorten already , for sure lesser power.
yeah coz on that time, there is no handphone can match n95,if the price rm2.5k,certainly i will go to satio that pricing only rm1.2k.adding 720p,capacitive amoled,3.5mm jack,fm transmitter, hdmi and symbian 3 need to add on rm1.3k arr??if adding 3x optical zoom with full hd recording and better display res,i think that rm2.5k price is acceptable
But its certainly not in the 2.5k price point , maybe highest 2.1-2.2k? Lowest is probably 1.8k
Is it? lame.... anyhow I will never go buy 1st batch, just wait and see
Yeah , Our country's telcos still doesn't have support for 4G yet. Better be safe than sorry , i'll too , wait for some reviews first and then only decide
