It reminds me of a story, a man give free food to a group of beggars for 15 years and one day, due to some reasons, this man decided not to give free food anymore, these beggars now protest, complain, angry, brand this man selfish, inconsiderate, cold hearted, and trying to get more beggars to protest and force this man to continue supply free food.

"BUCC only owns a small portion of the road, about 8,600 sq ft, representing about 4.75% of Jalan Tanjung to Lebuh Bandar Utama and NKVE"

"At valuation, the part of the land which BUCC owns may not cost more than RM1.5 million"

This is really selfish! vmad.gif

If the whole road belongs to BUCC... your above statement is acceptable but just because of BUCC <5% road, causing 95% of the road unusable and affecting thousands of users on a daily basis, if its' not called selfish, what it is?

Selfish is those who want conveniences or advantage in the expenses of someone else's inconveniences. BUCC already explained the reasons behind this decision but those people who used to enjoy free access didn't want to accept.

I don't see anything wrong here as this is their land, their right. No one should tell them what to do to their land just like how you dislike other tell you how to live your life.

If anything illegal here then different stories.

If it was my land I would have closed it permanently if these protesters still ah zi ah zo.

That is a very different scenario my friend.

Now it is not MRT or highway, and there is some other roads lead to tropicana, it's just that these people take everything for granted, they want to convenient themselves only, BUCC's reasons are not their concerns.

Who is selfish in this case? BUCC protect their own right as a land owner but being accused of selfish, or these people take things for granted?

self·ish/ˈselfiSH/
adjective
(of a person, action, or motive) lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure.

In this case, BUCC = Personal/Private, Road user = Public

Worse still.. they just control <5% of the road causing inconveniences and troubles to the public.

Actually what's the reason ah boss?

Is it because users from tropicana will cause more jam during Peak hours? This is damn true. The bu11 bridge is seriously damn bloody jam last time. The traffic eased a lot after they closed the access towards tropicana and from tropicana.

You may think it's inconvenient for u. But what abt the residents of bandar utama? It's BUCC land and they are fighting for the ease of bu residents. So what if it's only 5%?

Do u know how jam can that bridge be with that stupid access?

If you are capable pls go and Sue them. Thing is u and all the other a zi a zo protesters including bukit lancang assembly men/woman can't. Seriously.. sometimes wanna fight also pls monitor the traffic flow first la. don't fight just for the sake of fighting. Fish market?

I don't know much leh boss, just heard from someone that BUCC closed the road for the sake of their own properties and land and they were badly affected by the traffic.

I have met a lot of these people who take things for granted and as a matter of fact, these people are the selfish one. These people want to be beneficial parties of something in the expense of someone's time, money, effort, etc. they don't accept any explanation or reasons, if their desires/demand are not meet then you will be accused.

Look at this BUCC closure road case here, they are being branded inconsiderate, selfish, just because they protect their own right as a land owner, as if they were established to serve these selfish bunch.

as a non pj resident, i humbly want to say my opinion is if its private owner's land, it is totally up to them what to do with it. their generousity yesterday has no obligation to continue tomorrow.

since tropicana is being badly affected by lack of access, i humbly suggest tropicana/dijaya should fix it as the developer if they are a responsible company, as this reflects that their road planning initially... was not the best.

Yep. People always think from their point of view only. If things do not work out the way they want, simply accuse people selfish la, no brain la, greedy la etc. Aiyo....please put yourself in others shoe. Think from the point of BUCC. Whose interest is important to them? I wish that the access can be opened also but if they do not want, they have every right as land owner.
