Still many Asian MMORPGs fall into the grindy type. I think their rationale is still hard work pays off.
I had the sense of accomplishment when I played FFXI - doing my Genkai even fighting Maat at lvl 70. And also no doubt a PSP game - Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. After getting past those so called "Walls/Barriers", it had a great feeling. When people/members gave you "gratz", it felt great. |

QUOTE(shojikun @ Aug 6 2010, 11:31 AM) Yes, thats what I was wondering... 1. Race 2. Class 3. Staring Region/City Is it going to be easy for us to meet each other if we start at different cities? I'll definitely be a Lalafell Dunesfolk Conjurer from Limsa Lominsa. This post has been edited by gaeryn: Aug 6 2010, 11:50 AM |

One char can do everything - not like most MMOs, one char is "fixed".

QUOTE(Pijal @ Aug 10 2010, 09:49 AM) i was wondering, when we pre-order those ff14 from amazon, are we actually paid for it or we can cancel it anytime? Pre-orders wont be charged until the actual product is released. You can cancel at any time before the actual release. But pre-orders are FIRST come first serve basis... if you cancel now you will forfeit your position of the pre-order. |

QUOTE(mengdez @ Aug 10 2010, 11:09 PM) Btw, Kira-kun, you bought something from Amazon right? I have bought several items from Amazon (US) with no problems.Just wonder if Amazon ask you about verified your visa or master securecode? I order FF there, they were not not asking about it, i hope it won't fail. Yes, my card is linked to visa verified/securecode. |

I'm going to say this because there's alot of repeated questions asked:
1. Please read the 1st page or read through the pages. 2. Please goggle FFXIV on news, info, etc. |

QUOTE(shojikun @ Aug 12 2010, 11:34 AM) dont worry i heard there is going to be Open beta!! check out here... http://www.twitter.com/FF_XIV_EN much more better to play on a Open Beta than on Closed Beta one~~ trust me! Next thing people should do is to upgrade their Broadband connections.I stopped using Streamyx for over 2 years now xD Played FFXI with Digi BB - I was getting a nice 300 stable link without any VPN/Proxy. QUOTE(shojikun @ Aug 12 2010, 11:45 AM) what are you using now? o_O i just upgraded to unifi 10mbps last monday I'm using Digi BB Extreme RM188 a month 25GB cap.Yeah its pricey, but I'm very happy with it. I played LoTRO, Aion, FFXI and other F2P games with it - no problems. Exception was Aion, I had to rely on Proxy because they blocked the ports As for downloads... I can download at an average of 200kb/s. One time it even reached 400kb/s. |

QUOTE(cressalve @ Aug 12 2010, 12:00 PM) Ooh... Ok, as what I see from their site, they offer 700kbps DL and 200kbps UL speed. Do they really offer constant speed like they claimed? And let say I subscribe to 10gb cap plan, would the bandwidth be enough for me to play online games for the whole month? I really dont know seriously if the packages make a matter. I took extreme at that time because they offered the "online gaming experience".They have removed the extreme package becuz of abuse. 10gb should be sufficient, unless you're downloading the client and patching =x Other things that affect the wireless broadband is your location of course. Whether the signal is very strong and whether you're staying on ground level or higher. This post has been edited by gaeryn: Aug 12 2010, 12:05 PM |
