QUOTE(jovial @ Jul 4 2005, 01:07 PM) dangerous brother... suddenly a car sweve onto your lane...habis.. 30 ringgit to and fro or just one way? that's pretty bad mileage if just one way. these cars run best at 80kmh... if u go above 110 the fuel consumption increases dramatically due to air resistance. rm 30 to and fro..sorry forget to mention...rm15 one way...but i kept my speed constant and it was clocked from jj ipoh to gurney plaza and fro

those camera are dummies...they're for traffic surveillance mostly...travel that route quite frequently...the real speed trap is located right after the sg besi toll heading towards kl...they wait in the middle of o/head bridge

im wondering if there would be enough power from the car battery to power two devices at once...it is recommended that a max of 220w be used through the car power sockets

adding intercooler will definitely void the warranty becoz it requires the retuning of the ecu...this car is good enough already..bigger capacity means higher fuel consumption and higher roadtaxes....at this rate of increasing fuel prices, it won't be long before diesel hits rm1.80 per litre

QUOTE(LJS @ Aug 8 2005, 07:58 PM) haihya, wat to do,our hilux in under others hand.It is like we holding the sharp knife and they holding the handle,if we pull or push we also hurt our won hand.Let's make it to cool down,no point to anger with those "lan jiao kia".Sorry ha,i'm so rude also.Of course my own car,it is my 1st new car and i had the most "error"(kemet and calar) in my car.Previously i own USED car but i have less kemet. This is sure TAKDIR la,Wat to do?Others jealous,At least we got HILUX ,but they Don't.Sorry ha, if got offences. rite....lucky ipoh don't have many of this buggers around in my neighbourhood... love this truck very much...the hilux is comfortable enough for long journeys, spacious interior and good fuel consumption... i will check on the stuff in thailand and inform u guys whether its worth it or not... we should put a petition to the govt to reduce roadtax la...since the rise of diesel they should at least reimburse us on the road tax since our green engine is very low pollution

QUOTE(jovial @ Aug 10 2005, 09:44 AM) Which Ranger are you driving? Old or new model? I can't put that much diesel into my car! sabah + sarawak don't enjoy the amount of paved roads and highway that we do...that's why their roadtax is cheaper. I suppose you can go to cameron highlands to register your car. You only pay 10% road tax and but your car cannot go out of camerons. Another way is to register your car under company. A lot less road-tax but you need to paint your company name beside the car and you need to go Puspakom to check car every year or 6 months. Petrol road tax isn't that much cheaper. I think a Pajero 2.6 pays about 1.3k road tax. Re to parking: Die die also will kena scratch cause this is m'sia after all. The standard car park size is shorter than our 4x4 twincabs. Even the guy trying to park beside you will scratch you. I kena so many times until I also sian to look at my own car. But then, the more scratched and dirty my car is, the more ppl will give way to me. muahaha. you know la we malaysians must fight for cheaper this and that...if menang also got good benefits for all..hehehe...if cannot win also must make some noise so that the buggers won't be too comfortable rising fuel prices...rite now i cannot fill rm10 diesel already whereas i was able to go about 100+ km with that... the new hilux is damn big and long...slightly shorter than stavic but its hard reversing in a narrow alley... jovial..wanna go yamcha sometime?..
