QUOTE(magnesium @ May 21 2019, 02:59 PM) QUOTE(PseudoWoodo @ May 21 2019, 04:58 PM) Ok la its not too bad. The cinematography and symbolisms were pretty good. Shortcoming is that plot felt rushed and ended pretty abruptly. Guess a lot of people arent too happy with the way it ended for cersei. Friends were saying she should be resurrected to be tortured then murdered |

QUOTE(magnesium @ May 21 2019, 02:59 PM) Hahaha...Good one. Read through and I've also added some thoughts at the end. QUOTE(VyvernS @ May 16 2019, 06:22 PM) Dany - gets killed by Arya who was horrified by the devastation of Kings Landing. Arya disguises as Grey Worm after killing him somewhere else so that she can get close to Dany. Drogon can't protect Dany as this happens inside. - This DID happen. But not in the way I envisioned it. I wished Arya to use her special skills as much as she could. But DB and David decided for the easy "plunge knife into the heart" way. I wanted something more imaginative. They had a budget. Grey Worm - killed by Arya to take his face. - Obviously, this did not happen. But he played his role effectively, bringing Tyrion to the Dragonpit and after that had to settle for King Bran and the old/new/old/new Hand. What I felt most important was to remind us that even though he is Unsullied, programmed to take commands, he still had the hearts for Missandei and returned to Essos. After which, Bran could have pardoned Jon and said, "Stay on in the Six Kingdoms, bro...." Arya - takes Grey Worm's identity, kills Dany and then leads the Unsullied back to Essos and disappears for good. Perhaps becoming a teacher at the House of Black and White. - Nope. Did not happened. But she was effectively there to psycho Jon that the Starks will never bend the knee, and Jon is still the greater threat to Dany. Jon - is consumed with grief over the murder of Dany. Decides he still doesn't want the throne and returns to the north to help the not anymore Wildlings since there is no longer a proper wall. Has a proper reunion with Ghost and Tormund. - Was partially consumed with grief over killing Dany but realized the practicality of doing it. "It's a terrible thing I'm asking you to do" so said Tyrion. And hey, he did return to the North, and ventured beyond the Wall with the Wildlings. And he did get that proper reunion with Ghost and Tormund. - So that was great. Sansa - returns to Kings Landing on receiving Varys letter. Sees the destruction and decides there is nothing left. Sansa returns to the North, as Lady of Winterfell, Warden of the North. She relieves Brienne of her oath. - Okay, this partially didn't happened. And she got the better deal than I imagined. QUEEN IN THE NORTH!!! Yay!...Go get her, girl! Tyrion - upon the death of Sansa, as Queen's Hand and previously King's Hand, and Protector of Kings Landing @ the Battle of Blackwater, claims the Iron Throne. Becomes King of the Seven Kingdoms. The following become his Small Council: Ser Davos Seaworth - King's Hand; Bran Stark (having traveled South with Sansa) - Master of Whisperers (hey, who better than someone who knows what you said, will say or have said even before you said it??); Samwell Tarly (summoned to Kings Landing to be Maester there), and some unknown who becomes Master of Coins. Ser Brienne - remains in Kings Landing. Since her love is dead (i.e. Kingslayer) she decides to commit herself to rebuilding and guarding Kings Landing or the King. Becomes commander of the City Watch or perhaps the Commander of the new Kingsguard. Bronn - becomes Bronn of House Blackwater, Lord of the Reach, ruler of Highgarden, perhaps become Master of Coins as well. Gets a castle in Highgarden AND a castle in Kings Landing (so gets his two castles). Not impossible since Tywin was King's Hand at the same time holding Casterly Rock. As for the last part.....hey, it almost is right! Tyrion didn't become king, but became Hand (again....Not sure how many times he needs to be Hand. Was an Assistant Hand, then not Hand, then Hand of the Queen, then not Hand and Hand again. Lord Davos (I love this! - from Onion Knight to Onion Lord!) Master of Ships not Hand, Bran became the King - so the roles here were swapped between Tyrion and Bran on the council, Sam IS the Maester, Ser Brienne IS the new Commander of the Kingsguard AND my most accurate prediction Bronn IS ruler of Highgarden and Master of Coins....I love Bronn. He is survivor. Ever since Season 1, when he declined armor to fight for Tyrion at the Moon Door. And no matter what the spoilers say....this is the ending I would have liked from David and D.B. QUOTE(VyvernS @ May 19 2019, 05:25 PM) Black of what? All in all, I loved how it ended for most characters except Dany. I felt her death/murder could have been dealt with differently, more emotionally, more expressively. It was just like hey, talk, kiss, knife in and dead. Also, in today's society, Jon would be walking free. We actually don't have a witness to say Jon killed Dany. Perhaps after some heated argument, Dany could have flown off with Drogon for ever and ever not to be seen again. ??? Remember Season 5, when she disappeared? There's a story going around which I like. Drogon found a Red Priest or Priestess who brings Dany back to life and she returns to Westeros with a vengeance. Bran becomes king...Bran doesn't need a council. All the advise he ever needs is inside his head, no? So if this spoiler/leak is actually true, then it has damn a lot of plot holes. And why is Bronn there? Where is his castle? He should just take the crossbow shoot Tyrion dead and ride into the sunset. Just like a cowboy movie.... And Davos should go back to smuggling onions.... This is written because I also know about the leaks and spoilers and feel that we should give ourselves imagination to like how we would want it to end. Let your imaginations run wild as much as possible, So yea, Dr. in Spain got it right (usually it's this doctor who is the source of all the spoilers). But then, hey.... - Why do you have to be in the Night's Watch to do charity......or whatever it is that Jon needs to do in the North...? - At least they explained why Bran needs a council. He is going Dragon Hunting. I hope he comes back alive, unlike the King who went Boar Hunting. But hey, if King Robert hadn't been killed, we won't have a A Song of Ice and Fire by Archmaester Ebrose. - And a Lannister always pays his debt. So, he settled it for Bronn. One thing that I have learnt is that Bronn knows how to create the best deals, wait for the rewards. And he made them with a Lannister or two, and always got paid. All through the last 7-8 seasons, I have been rooting for a few people in particular. I'm glad they survived and got some good endings. Bronn, because he makes smart remarks every time he hits the screen and he is smart when he fights. Sam, just because he is Sam. Davos, because he always appears level headed whenever emotions take control of the rest, he is always like..."Friends, friends,..." Or how he won over Lady Lyanna Mormont in Season 6. It's their character traits that attract me. Most of all, the person I've rooted for from the beginning was Ned Stark. He may have lost his head in Season 1, Episode 9 but I followed the family and their trials and I'm sure a lot of people rooted for Arya and Sansa. As for Bran, I was just curious how his arc would turn out and hey, he became King of the Six Kingdoms. So this is the part where I'm really happy for how it ended for them.....Imagine how proud Ned Stark would be of his children (i"m not sarcastic)....Look at them... Sansa - Lady of Winterfell, QUEEN IN THE NORTH Bran the Broken - KING OF THE SIX KINGDOMS Jon Snow - Knight's Watch, and probably will end up KING BEYOND THE WALL or at least the leader of the Wildlings. Ser Alliser got it right.. Arya Stark - QUEEN OF HER OWN DESTINY....That's not me. So while there were critics and supporters for this season, DB and David provided appropriate closure for the characters and their story arcs. GRRM may not follow this ending, might create a more imaginative one. But for that, we will have to wait. For now, the show is ended and so is this longish article. My watch here is ended. |

While all the soyboys crying and whining, GRRM released his blogpost about the show finale. Read between the lines of his statement. He simply said you decide on your own term. Planning 3,000++ pages of manuscript for his next two books. That easily 5 or more seasons worth of material.
https://www.thewrap.com/george-rr-martin-wr...e-last-2-books/ Talks a little more about his book ending. |

Watched the 2 hours long GoT: The Last Watch documentary
poor Conleth Hill (Varys), you can see his reaction (what the fuck I've just read? fuck it!) when he just found out about his character's dead scene compared to the reaction of other characters, his is more of a major disappointment I think almost everyone agrees that his character could have a better development and a better death in this final season This post has been edited by greyshadow: May 29 2019, 09:38 AM |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Oct 6 2021, 07:50 PM) It's Daemon Targaryen, the rogue prince. He is kinda Jamie and Tyrion roll into one. A fighter like Jamie with the smart of Tyrion. He ride a badass dragon. He is a villain and protagonist at the same time. One of his nemesis is a Cersei 2.0.This post has been edited by 6so: Oct 7 2021, 12:23 PM |
