i think the reception/signal thing is subjective... last time i use maxis with no problem. signal always full (5 bars) and sometimes drop to 3-4 then back to full.
then i switched to digi (now using it almost 2 years now) due to REAL FREE unlimited calls/sms/mms (with sub-line), also experienced the same thing, means normal bar signal. and rarely drop to 1 yellow bar.. (means almost critical to get signal).

still happy with digi service until now. FREE unlimited calls (with sub-line) & low charges. after getting iphone 4G (ASAP), later will get new experience with the 3G internet.

I checked with digi. When you cancel main line, you have to cancel sup. Line too for the transfer to digi. In digi you then apply for supp. Line.
But only main line can apply for iphone4.
*
That is ASSUMING the supplementary line wants to convert to DiGi too. BTW, supplementary line cannot sign up for any iDiGi plans. Meaning your supplementary line CANNOT buy iPhone 4 from DiGi.

Bolded part: Are u sure ? im subscribed to their data plan, and i never get any shock bill when using edge or gprs to surf or use whatsapp and whatnot.

Btw, if i want to switch to Digi from Maxis, and i have a supplementary line under me, what will happen to the supplementary line ? Do i have to upgrade it to principal line first?
*
Supp line you got 2 choice,
1. port it over digi, you need to bring that person there or bring his/her photostat IC
2. remain in maxis, but you need to make it principle line/ prepaid line at maxis 1st. after maxis successfully seperate it, then only you go to digi to port in yours.

for those port in from maxis to digi,
FYI, there is RM10 stamp duty charges on top of ur first month bill.
and when u port-in, u need to pay upfront 1 month fee according to plan u take

all above i mention is for normal postpaid,
not sure port in for iphone is there any difference...

Hi, I ported into Digi from Maxis today along with my supp at Quill.

1. You don't need any photostat from supp. You dont event need them to be there.
2. They didn't require you to pay upfront monthly fee. Only pay for the phone RM 2090 if you are porting in.
3. Double check everything. Documents, customer copies, your MICRO sim card, your Credit Cards && your Supp! Some of the staff there practically have no idea what they are doing at times.

No no. I was having my supp under my account in Digi as well.

If your supp want to sign up plan there, it's just like signing up a new contract as principal line.

1 thing i dun fully understand by this

http://www.digi.com.my/iphone/getone_want_...ne_payment.html

look on the Option 1: Buy with Cash/Credit Card

1. let's take iDigi88 16GB for example. RRP is RM2290, buy with Digi is RM1490. Savings will be RM800
2. but we need to fork out RM2090, instead of RM 1490. Where does the RM 800 gone??

3. den let's take iDigi238. As written, saves RM2000 off RM2290, so means RM290 for iphone4 16GB.
4. Fork out RM2090, where does the RM1800 hilang

5. the 2nd T& C written "Savings* = RM200 savings will be deducted upfront from the RRP amount and the balance savings will be credited equally over 24 months in your monthly DiGi bill."

6. why suddenly got RM 200 saving pulak?

any one can help up to clear this matter? thanks thanks

Added on September 26, 2010, 12:45 amby the way, I had called Digi Customer Service, and said will get back n put me on hold for 10 min... does that means no customer asking this question at all??

from no 1.

the savings RM800 is the total savings from the plan plus RM200 from the iphone

(RM88 - RM63) x 24 months + RM200 = RM800

Actually the phone price is still RM2090

Basically, it is just telling you that your plan is supposed to be RM88 for the iDiGi88. But now you only pay RM63...or RM58 (with auto billing). So you saved RM88 - RM63 = RM25 per month. For 24 months, that equates to RM600. The give you another RM200 discount for the phone, so now, you get RM800 savings. If you sign up for auto billing, you get another RM63 - RM58 = RM5 savings per month. That's another RM120 savings. So you get RM920 savings in total.

I tried Maxis for like less than 2 months and switch back to Digi. I got full bar with Maxis but constantly get line disconnected halfway on conversation. If not, another person cant get through to my line even the reception is full. Called their customer service and being told line upgrade for entire 1 month plus. Besides, my bill is cheaper with Digi.

Location: Subang/KL. I still prefer Digi over Maxis.
