when 4 core b55 x4
and yup if i restart again and set everything back at bios it will be ok
is dis normal?

happend to me few times before..esp when system shut down due to OC failure (means not proper shut down/restart)
then restart a proper way..and vioala, back unlocked..

what do u set on ACC?..i set it to ALL CORE..everyday boot up as Quad core..

my preferences is always on timing, then follow with the speed to match that timing, of course i will check the performance.
I'm not quite sure with maxxmem, how the program running and what other things that affected the real result, that's why i'm looking forward with the result from bro ah_khoo. it's new program for me..

but when i switch off my comp and later on it wont run

ok this is how it goes

when im using 4 cores it is stable no problem at all
but everytime i off/restart comp i will have to use 2 cores 1st
go into windows...reboot...den go to bios again..set it to all cores..
den back to windows...and no problem

That is nt unstable..that mayb is d mobo setting problem..when u at boot up screen is it got appear core unlock press 4?

the motherboard didn't save the bios setting?

i didnt notice...it goes by 2 fast for me

the bios did save the setting..
what happens is
it will say
"unleashed mode failed"
den press f1 for setup and f2 to run on default 2 cores..


but if i go straight to setup and adjust everything again,it wont work after reboot
i have to go into windows with d 2 cores,reboot den go back 2 bios and do everything again

haha..u mobo same like me what..i bought this proc on april..the different only ram..i got this issue last time but worst..test prime95,it stable but next day boot up,give me BSOD..i guess my ram timing to tight,then loose it a bit..then ok till today..what is urs RAM setting btw?..

He didnt adjust d ram timing..nw his problem is need to go to bios to unlock core everytime he start up.

and by checking at msinfo32 my bios version is 0501

Haha..u not heavy oc,so no need to adjust ram timing..somemore timing is d difficult to set..not all d ram same..jus like processor,same model,bt some got limit,some can oc so high..
