I've tested my RMAed ballistix tracer DDR2 PC-6400
Not bad the chips, can run DDR1066 at 2.1v but its freaking hot..... I think too hot until Windows suddenly hang hahaha Definitely need a blowing fan on top of it. Screw the LEDs man, make it generate more heat only |

QUOTE(kuntawakaw @ Jul 13 2010, 11:55 AM) btw i think that tracer able to run 1066mhz cl5 / 800mhz cl4 with 1.9vdimm perfectly fine.. Haven't try 1.9V with iti strongly think la..mebbe ur ram cannot.. But 800mhz 4-4-4-12 rated at 2.0v Anyway, I've ditch it off and put back my OCZ Reapers, 1066Mhz with 2.1v no problems. Just warm to the touch |

Yeah the reapers are ok and its quite cool~~
Me running the Tracers at 2.1v 1066Mhz, around 30 minutes then Windows freezes (definitely due to the RAMs),its too hot to the touch seriously. If drop to 2.0v, it can't boot into Windows, hangs at the loading part ~_~ OCZ Reapers 24/7 also no problems at 1066Mhz 2.1v |

QUOTE(kuntawakaw @ Jul 14 2010, 11:07 AM) so ka? With active cooling sure ler no problems~~when my tracer was used, it was active cooled.. so running 1066mhz all the time so never have issue of freeze because of heat. (and im pretty sure it was with 1.9v only..) at that time.. i was noober then now..so my SS all sucks.. some SS just show CPUZ main tab only.. some memory only..so donno which one tracers SS..only have SS with 4sticks prime fail.. kekeke [attachmentid=1675535] Added on July 14, 2010, 11:09 am + heatspreader also right?kkekekeke Mine was passive~~ The thing is it was too hot being passive~~ The reapers had no problem running 2.1v on passive, just warm to the touch |

The non LED ones are okay
Just the LED 1s are the 1s to look out for Definitely need active cooling ah_khoo, that time you run it at 2V or 2.1V? |

QUOTE(selferino @ Jul 25 2010, 01:36 AM) bro ah-khoo, do u enabled in place fft(tick or untick the box) ? btw, evertime i set the min to 8k, the 1st test will run at 1024k, 2nd test straight go to 8k, 3rd test go to 10k, 4th test only go to 896k, 5th test go to 768k but thn the next test go back way down to 12k. izzit like this in between one? i see u do ur prime always end wif 8k one, why my one liddat? Tick the FFT box if you are stressing your CPU insteadanyways, wanna share my minimum under-volt using stock speed of my clock(from 1.4v to 1.25 C!E and CnQ enabled [attachmentid=1691854] For memory, untick the FFT box |

Finally got back my rig, fixed the leak and currently priming at my OCed settings of 300x11 = 3300Mhz with 1.46V on load (yeah, it needs that high without crashing
Custom prime settings with enabled FFTs = avg 45c, max is 47c (aircond room), gonna try without aircond tomorrow (results are wonderful, way better than last time) |
