Probably I can order one for myself first to test, if it's good then I can make a bulk order so that we can get it cheaper, maybe around rm 50 a piece.

the advantages would be the ability to take picture at night and a good SD (standard definition 480p) daylight video recording, because xenon flash cannot be used as torchlight like led flash. u also can experience android but u cannot do any modifications because its not yet possible.
even though both are using the same cpu and same amount of ram, 3gs is a bit faster, if u swap u will miss the snappiness and smoothness of iphone menu navigation. if u are happy with your 3gs then i suggest u keep using it. probably best for both of u to try swapping phones for a week and see what its like using it as normal day to day usage. i chose this phone over the 3gs (i have both 3g and 3gs before) because i want a good camera, a radio, an android and it's just that i'm a motorola fanboi |

multitasking in ios4 and android is different. in ios4, the app stop when u change to another app and it will continue when u choose it back. but in android, i can download a video or movie from the internet and at the same time make some calls or watch a movie after that. by the time my movie ends, the download finished.
all smartphones have a range of 5-8hours of wifi/3g usage so thats normal. |

yes, ios4 pause the app not stop it. some call it 'fast app switching'.
so where is the guy who read all the android sites everyday? probably he did not read that moto uk link then? |

Droid x has been rooted just 6 days after it was launched, since xt720 now officially available in the uk there is a high chance for us to get root as well.lets hope so

If that's true then all starhub xt720 owners must return back their phones because it's wrongly clocked at 550. Perhaps can sue them as well for selling wrongly clocked phones?

With the discovery of root method for droid x, it seems that the method is also applicable to other motorola phones as well. Both xt720 and devour has been rooted with this method.
It sounds like a good news but there are big risks if we choose to root the phone at this moment, namely the inability to un root and chance of bricking the phone when doing factory reset or system updates. I would just do it if my phone does not cost 1.5k I guess we have to wait a little bit longer for a safer method but if you like living dangerously.... |

my personal opinion after using this phone for more than a month, the speed is quite ok. when people say its slow, they are comparing with 1ghz equipped smartphones, of course it will be slow but it wont reach into the annoying level yet. For day to day use, I would say this phone is good. I browse websites everyday with it, download songs, movies, youtubes, documents and when Im home, I use USB tether with my laptop.
AP price costs very high, because they provide the warranty service (u dont have to go to singapore) but if u happened to be able to go down there, I suggest u guys go and buy the phone from people who bought it with contract. u can easily save around rm500-600 if u do that. xt720 is an expensive phone, in SG its S$988 if u buy it without contract, in US its $599. |
