All android phones need root to give freedom for customization. I want to remove unwanted apps that I never use, wasting the phone internal memory. I also need to overclock so that the camera can take picture faster.

it's a great phone but the metal part somehow made the phone looks cheap, maybe that's just me.

Alot ppl at SG selling this phone @ $550 with pouch and dock, wonder why.

bdw.. if its compare to htc desire is there any different? thinking to get desire oso.. but xt720 seems more interesting with hdmi and 8mp with xenon.. spec is same with 512ram n 512rom... poison me more!!

Desire is a faster phone, have to correct you on xt720 spec, it only got 256mb ram not 512mb. Desire runs on a 1ghz compared to 550mhz on xt720, that will make a lot of differences in term of performance. Only froyo can make it faster, if we never get root on this baby.

Never try desire yet. But no any laggy while surfing.

it is the app. i cannot take the chain picture like that if i use the stock camera because it does not have zoom feature.

hd video recording sux. the phone does not have the power to do it properly.
