awww.. LVS playing hide n seek with me. off market was reddish, and now?

TCK and HL doing well, with COMMODITIES pricing skyrocketing.

That's good.. but that's also bad.
Anyway, no choice but to play along. I'm long TCK, no play with HL.

Are you playing SWC (for Palladium)? This thing may hit 52wks high shortly.

Closing update for the week:
Dow 11006.48 +57.90 +0.53%
Nasdaq 2401.91 +18.24 +0.77%
S&P500 1165.15 +7.09 +0.61%

There you go.. we got Dow 11K.
Let's turn this train around..shall we? laugh.gif

hi zamans98, notis got new members & have some other stock candidates being given too
with tt, u all should be doing fine with new members in ur thread thumbup.gif
buy high & sell higher with a fixed % exit / profit is a standard TA trading plan, no idea abt those who shorted lvs then? any updates?

if someone had bought call option for lvs & expect it break above $20 (a psychological round number)
every $1 up is $100 earned for each call option contract
refer Post #1111 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1249574/+1100

never expect it at $37, target $30 reach was oso good liao drool.gif
anyone knows how calculate the return from 9 mar $19.12 to 8 oct $37.30? my england & mathematic is F9 shakehead.gif
look at its forward pe & revenue growth http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=lvs

STEC Inc. (NASDAQ: STEC) is a Santa Ana, California-based technology company providing enterprise-class Flash solid-state drives for enterprise storage systems and servers that companies utilize to retain and access their critical data. The company designs its products specifically for storage systems and servers that require applications to run at a high level of operations per-second performance.

Shares of the company spiked 10% yesterday, spurred by rumors spread that SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) could be interested in buying out the company. Though the rumors sparked trading activity, this isn’t the first time STEC has been involved in fruitless buyout rumors – Last month word on the street was that Dell (NASDAQ: DELL) could be a suitor for STEC, as well as rumors of a takeover by IBM (NYSE: IBM).

STEC announced its second-quarter financial results in August, posting second-quarter revenue of $61.3 million, down 29.1% over the second quarter of 2009 and up 58% over the first quarter of 2010. The company’s GAAP gross profit margin for the second quarter of 2010 was 42.6% compared with 50% reported in the second quarter of 2009 and 34% reported in the first quarter of 2010.

STEC reported GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations of $0.06 for the second quarter of 2010 compared with $0.38 reported in the second quarter of 2009 and GAAP diluted loss per share from continuing operations of $0.11 reported in the first quarter of 2010.

On a non-GAAP basis, STEC reported gross profit margin of 42.7% for the second quarter of 2010, compared with 50.1% reported for the second quarter of 2009 and 34.2% reported for the first quarter of 2010. The company’s non-GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations for the second quarter of 2010 was $0.09, compared with $0.42 reported in the second quarter of 2009 and diluted loss per share from continuing operations of $0.08 reported in the first quarter of 2010.

For the third quarter of 2010, STEC expects revenue to come in between $78 million and $80 million and diluted non-GAAP EPS to come in between $0.18 and $0.20.

STEC stock has a 52-week range of $9.47-$28.88. The stock is currently trading above its 50-day and below its 200-day moving average. It has a support level at $12.38 and a resistance level at $13.83. Year-to-date, the stock is down 18.67%.

Closing update
Dow 11020.40 +10.06 +0.09%
Nasdaq 2417.92 +15.59 +0.65%
S&P500 1169.77 +4.45 +0.38%

The US Fed meeting has excited the bulls in anticipation of QE2. Another new high today.
Almost same level like end of March. If this continues, the April high could be taken out. sweat.gif

After hours, INTC reports "less bad" outlook. I bet this will drive tech stocks up the next trading day.

Added on October 13, 2010, 10:03 pmC finally moving.. banks are moving because of JPM. rclxms.gif

Rebalancing of Dow because additional C shares and they're moving higher now. :
