What games are you hoping to be on sale? The games I want are yet to be released, so I cant say I'm disappointed even if they make a whole week of Railworks sale

That's nothing to be worried of. TF2 will always be included in the list whenever there is a big discount during festive season. You just need to hope that the discount is 66% instead of the usual 50%.

i bought it during 50% which is $10 but i think is well worth. the game even worth at full price

Bought Monkey Island 2 on Saturday.

I also thinking of getting monkey island 2. But till now i havent even finished monkey island 1

monkey island 2 special edition is a BIG improvement over the first game. what a great deal!

Why some games like The Sims series and FIFA series are not distributed on Steam? To fully utilise EA Store?

But other DD platforms have The Sims series in their list.

Gamersgate only have 1 expansion and not the vanilla version while both Direct2Drive and Impulse have the vanilla version and all the expansions.They also have FIFA series. What gives? Region restriction?

Region-related issue is the best answer I guess. If you browse to GG via VPN, all the expansions are available. Compared to them, I'm of the opinion that Steam is the fairest when it comes to the availability of the games that are being placed under discount tags. Sure, there are some games that are not available in our region such as GTA IV but you'll be amazed with the amount of discounted games being locked to the US region with the other DD platforms.

Steam is a b*tch though when it comes to trying to fool the system to purchase region-locked games.

Not really thou, I still manage to purchase few region-locked games from Steam.

With a VPN? I've tried to do the same during the last Summer Sale but the thing just won't go through, even with a fake US address.
