Keto brother? Interesting. Looks a lot like precontest diet.

Yup, that was long time ago. Now I hardly eat more than 10 eggs a week.
More junk now.

It looks interesting seriously but I'm apprehensive about this no carb diet. I'm afraid I might go flat. What about the pwo shake composition of dex and whey? You're saying you just take whey? Then how's the liver glycogen replenished? Would whey alone be sufficient for an insulin spike?

My carbs was low, comprised mainly of vegetables. PWO was combo of whey and 2 tablespoon of red palm oil, no carbs.
I have tried both the insulin spike theory by taking dex + whey and whey + fat. I didn't see any difference between the 2.

In fact, when I was on extremely low carb diet, I gained more than 10lbs of lean muscles. That showed that we don't need insulin spike to gain muscles.
FYI I was on this diet for 2 years. I gained pretty good strength level too. IMO, insulin spike is just a mere theory. If it was true, I wouldn't be able to gain muscle mass and strength. I put one of my boys on this diet and he gained pretty good muscles mass and got 4th placing in Mr KL Junior WITHOUT drugs.

Thank you. Worth a look. I think I went flat when I tried this a few months ago cos there wasn't sufficient fat in my diet. The whole eggs make sense, as a source of fat and way to fill in the caloric deficit. I did protein and fruits
and veg. Lost a lot of bodyfat, actually gained muscle at the same time but then into the 2 month I started going insanely flat!

So... Add more fat eh?

Yup, because you need a secondary source of energy when you do away with carb. When your body do not have raw material to make energy, muscle mass will be sacrificed. That's why you looked flat. Besides that you'll lose strength level and become lethargic in the long run. This happened to many local bodybuilders when they were dieting for competition because they believed in fat makes you fat. They ate mainly protein, very little carb and no fat. How not to lose muscles this way. No raw mat for the body to manufacture energy.

Take in more dietary fat to replace the carbs when you are on low carbs.

Aight bro. Let's give it a try again. I'm gaining decent mass on my current diet and reasonably lean, jamis and Chicaman have seen me but I'm looking to up the ante even more. Will update you on the progress.

Zzz... were you reading what 4Rings typed? He's talking about keto, near carbless diet.

Actually both of them have methods which are different but I could say equally effective. Terry would still advocate some carbs. 4Rings higher fat.
