No I didnt flash my radio but I did flash the Facebook thingy on LeeDroid main page. I get FB to work but not Friend Stream.

In All Programs, you should see Superuser Permissions...

Dont do anything to the zip file. Just put them in your sdcard and you're good to go. It will read the zip as it is. My first attempt, I unzip everything and put into my sdcard, that didnt work.

Sheesh... I cant even get through this part. I click on Online DIrectories > Facebook > it asked me to setup and when I did, it failed.

probably froyo will be released on august (beginning or middle), of course u can flash the official rom when htc has released it and become unrooted automatically (but u will probably not be able to root again for some time or never, i dont know). you need to update the radio if u are gonna flash froyo rom in order to work properly.
i think my guide is quite simple to understand and follow than any other guides, cuz i really typed what i did when rooting my phone. 
partitioning is necessary in order to use a2sd or a2sd+ to work. a2sd/a2sd+ is much better than native froyo a2sd since not all applications from market has feature to move the apps to sd card (so native a2sd is like useless) and most of custom roms are using a2sd/a2sd+. native a2sd doesnt need partitioning.

yes, i have a guide to flash rom and radio. i think u really need to explore my blog (next to home tab there is Android-WinMo, just click that tab).

opendesire froyo sense rom need some tweaks to work properly.

Here is short guide

Rooted using the unrEVOked one click root. Then installed Titanium Backup and backed up everything (including backing up SD Card manually!! - copy from card reader into your hdd)

Downloaded ROM Manager from the Market to create partition.

Went to recovery via unrEvoked and did a nandroid backup. Wipe everything, then flashed 1.6 of LeeDroid and the radio update.

Once it had booted just setup my gmail account so I could access the market, downloaded Titanium Backup again and restored everything. Another reboot and everything is back to pretty much as it was before - think I just had to sort out a few widgets.

Please move the apps that you use as widgets on your home screens into the phone storage.

i wonder what u did to ur sd? did u format ur sd from settings or recovery? what are u trying to do with ur sd anyway? partitioning?

Simple, just downdload ROM Manager after you have rooted with unrEVOked. You will have the clockworkmod recovery installed. Then when you start the ROM Manager it'll ask you to download clockworkmod, not sure why. But they'll ask you. Once you have done that, then go to Partition SD Card and choose Swap 0 and size 512mb and it'll create the partition.

Do no format via other method as the ROM Manager will do everything for you.

let me tell u something, after u flash custom rom that has feature a2sd/a2sd+ (not native a2sd), you should not format ur sd card from settings. and u better not format ur sd card after ur first booted after flashing rom. if u really want to format sd card, do it in recovery after u flash the rom and then reboot it.

as i told u partition is needed, cuz it will save u lots of space and it works for all apps and games (not like native a2sd which not all apps n games support this feature). if u dont have partition, then u better start partitioning.

most ROM should have it, the native apps2sd is... crap the one that comes with FroYo. If you don't do the ext3 partition and when you install a ROM with this feature, you'll end up on a boot loop!

for best result: u reflash the rom again. after that flash radio(if necessary), and then install ROM Manager from market (do partitioning from rom manager)

swap=0mb, ext=512mb(512mb is minimum, but it's more than enough)

you're welcome. so after u done partitioning, dont bother to move apps to sd anymore. coz all the apps automatically install to sd card.

becareful when storing all of your apps in SD, the apps that have widgets on your homescreens will not work when you mount your sd on to your computer, on when booting up.

it depends on ur rom. to check it, go to m.flash.com from ur phone browser and see what it says.

did u install opendesire froyo sense? if u installed this rom, u need some tweaks to work properly about this a2sd. just try to flash other rom first like leedroid or opendesire without sense. normally, if u succeeded partitioning, ur internal memory will be around 140mb (that's why please install rom manager and do partitioning first b4 u install any apps).

oh really, then it's ur internal memory now. try to install apps, and see if it reduces a lil bit, then ur a2sd is working. u have to know, everytime u install apps, ur internal may reduce but only a lil bit. but still, u can install more apps than without rooting it.
you can do nandroid backup first b4 u flash any custom roms. u dont hv to flash custom rom immediately, but what is ur purpose by rooting it?

haha, u install more than 20 apps? of course u will lose that much, but still unrooted phone wont have that much space after installing so many apps. all the apps u installed will go to sd card automatically.
yeah, you are right. but i believe it wont be as smooth as sense on htc desire. samsung galaxy s and desire has the same performance in processor. that's why i've been telling u, galaxy s wins over the screen and internal memory only. desire has more ram n sense.
and galaxy s is just too big, i cant fit it in my jeans.

PAID APPS, FREE APPS, JUST IN.

How do I change it back to:

I used this method to root my phone and flash it with LeeDroid 1.6 (Froyo 2.2) and then have Swype 1.56 installed and it worked flawlessly. In fact, even better than the previous 2.1 and prev version of Swype.

There isnt so much different in my opinion between those two and i would not mind if getting a lower contrast ratio compared to when using AMOLED. Since SLCD has a lower battery impact, i would go for SLCD. I guess the next flagship for HTC is also not gonna be on AMOLED and the currebt US flagship htc Evo is also not AMOLED, so im voting for SLCD then. I hope that HTC knows what they are doing.

btw, there arent any phones out there using SLCD currently ait? Im confused with IPS btw, is it an LCD with IPS technology or is it considered an IPS screen?
