I guess so. As cooking the ROM myself definitely better as I can choose which to put in and which not to but of course a price to pay biggrin.gif

by cooking our ROM u mean that we create our own ROM and inlcude what features do we want to add on? doesn't it require programming knowledge?

Just wondering, oh well, if you cook from modaco, it will download to your PC which enable you to share with your friends ? laugh.gif
Please don't report me for piracy. Just asking as not sure how it ROMs will go to. Will it be to phone straight ? unsure.gif

When you baked a rom online from Paul's Modaco kitchen - you have the option to select several options, example you can choose not to install some of the default programs, option to have 2 types of apps2SD, keyboard type input etc. Besides the core programs , you can choose and pick your choices. I'd say is money well spent. You pay only once and you have the benefits of using his kitchen anytime for any phone type , there is no limitations at all.

Once you selected all your options, just select "BAKED". The zip file will be downloaded to your computer - depending on the website traffic, usually takes about 15-30 mins. Once the zip file is downloaded, you can copy it to the SD card. Switch off phone, go to recovery mode. WIPE clean data, cache, dalvik cache, sd ext ( if you have created the extended partition) and then just run the zip file. Within usually about 5-10 minutes, you will have a new rom.

The process is very simple. NO programming knowledge is required

Can you share the cooked rom file ?? Frankly I have no idea - you can always try and update us. Personally I think you can share as the baked rom doesn't identify your hardware in its configuration/setup of the rom. Of course you must use it in the same type of phone.

Just go over to forum-xda. HTC Desire section http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=628 - rom discussion here. Roms are free - but you are encourage to donate if you can, to the rom cook. If you don't want to donate , you can still download and there is no limit how many times you can download. If you want special preconfigure roms up to your own choices - try Modaco at http://android.modaco.com/category/430/htc...ire-modaco-com/ . you need to pay a small contribution once only - with this you can use his online kitchen to bake any rom for any phone that he'd developed; again no limitation

And same goes when i tried to call any other number using desire, it will drop automatically when making calls.

Guys,

Anyone using Handcent here? I installed Handcent, and do the settings as in the first page to disable the notification for default SMS. However, there is a problem. Assuming i am receiving a message from DiGi, it will come out in 2 ways. 1 will be a message, with threads of all the DiGi messages. Then, there will also be a NEW messasge with the same thing as the one in the thread. How do i disable one of them? Notification shows only 1 SMS but when u enter Handcent, there is 2 of them.

it is in 720p but low framerates.. its only up to 17-20fps which is not good.. there r some other roms at xda which records only to up to 800x480 but it has a fps up to 24 which is decently good and better looking compared to 720p in sense froyo. Devs r waiting for the kernel source of sense froyo to push up tje framerates. Most 720p enabled phones records at a minimum 30fps and thats y it looks good and smooth. The new leaked radio enables this 720p but they need to tweak the kernel to get better fps. That is why all r waiting now for kernel source of froyo sense

I updated my Handcent yesterday and now I noticed one flaw, which is the LED light just won't go away even though I have read the SMS. Now I have to turn off the LED notification, haiz. Does anyone know how to fix this?
