Stock Nexus one VS Stock Desire = Desire wins over UI but the desire gets update late

Rooted Nexus one VS Rooted Desire = Desire wins also as it can imitate almost everything on nexus one except voice cancellation and trackball if u consider that an advantage

In terms of performance, its equal as both runs on the same chip but desire gets a few extra marks thanks to the additional lil bit RAM xD. Ive tried the stock ported FRF91 on my desire and it does have the nexus one feeling as ur getting vanillla UI and sorts but lacking of SenseUI seems like a big lost for me. To me SenseUI is a great advantage but nexus one can also use SenseUI on custom roms thanks to the ported ROM made by devs.

Nexus one seems to be winning over faster update but the desire can also experience it on custom ROM so it is not quite an advantage.

just my two cents, this can be a big debate indeed but thats from my own opinion, it differs for each individual. I have no regret choosing Desire over nexus one and not waiting for Galaxy S. Im very comfortable indeed with the Desire

At this time the best choice is desire not nexus. Google had already confirm no more production of nexus. Google CEO said the nexus was just an experiment from google to show Android can be a equal if not better alternative to the iPhone. All google partners htc, SAMSUNG, motorola will develop the phones. The nexus will still be used by google to improve the android platform. Those having nexus will definitely get software upgrade faster, eg my nexus already updated to froyor 2.2 a month ago while desire will have it end aug/sep, motorola sep, Sony in dec, SAMSUNG by oct etc.

The desire has local sis warranty, extra ram 576mb versus nexus 512mb, and I feel it's hardware keys is better than nexus soft keys. Performance wise not much difference as both are same specs basically and hardware chip and graphics. For those who are new, nexus is actually a htc product make for google. The desire is htc version of the nexus.

If you like to tinker with rooms, the nexus offer you more options. This might change later once there are more desire users.

As a smartphone you won't go wrong buying either one. It is just like asking to buy city or vois, accord or camry etc.

But I would say the trackball in nexus is damn good, don't know why desire didn't follow. Maybe htc wants the desire to be more different. I can now set different colors to miss call, SMS, tweeter and google mail, other email - very useful. When silent mode, I just look at the trackball and I know what is incoming

Please provide details. Such a vague question unable to assist. Is your company on pop or imap? Did you get the incoming pop or imap settings correct. Does your company allow acess to mail with outsider phones ? Some company restrict but to some staff the admin will allow, depend on company policy.

Hi,
I was planning to upgrade my phone memory card.
Just wondering... should I go for class 6 - 4GB or class 4 - 8GB?
and Desire uses SD and Not SDHC right?

i guess the higher class is better as it's the transfer rate between the pc and your phone sd card. i think mostly people recommend to get sandisk? correct me if i'm wrong.
