Yours worked for x64?
What I did:
1. Unzipped i8kfan binary 2. bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS and restarted 3. enabled Test Mode and restarted 4. signed driver fanio.sys 5. ran faninst.exe - running status 6. ran i8kfan from folder > blackout and noise

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ May 2 2011, 12:29 AM) hmm, haven't install SP1 on mine.. if u used to use driver sweeper after u uninstalled CCC, u will experience lots of pain when u r trying to update to W7 sp1. i straight away reformat the whole laptop to update to sp1 after trying to solve the problem for more than 1 month. and now i dont use driver sweeper anymore, i change to ccleaner. hopefully i wont experience the same thing again when i want to update to sp2

i dont know what happen also... whenever i want to update to sp1, it failed and i jot down the error code to google, the result come out to said that driver sweeper is the one who caused it. they said driver sweeper delete certain file which is important to update to sp1.

When I launch the i8kfangui the screen becomes blanketed in a moving grey shade of dots and waves... then it goes black. The first time there was beeping right away, the second time there was beeping after it went dark.
I want to use fan control for my laptop, I desperately need it, but can't get this to work, and nothing else has worked so far.
