Teh is a hokkien variant of Zheng. There are many other dialect variants of this surname

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zheng

Added on August 13, 2010, 3:07 pmP.S I am hokkien and my surname is Teh. That confirms it.
Teochew is very close to hokkien too, coming form the same region. Some surnames have shared stuff

Person with two characters as one surname as "Au Yong or Sze To (Si To)", is extremely rare in Malaysia.

It is more common in Hong Kong, especially "Sze To".

So far, i have only seen one person with "Au Yong" as surname in my life, in Malaysia.
