Hey guys, i am looking for a headphone with the budget under rm1000.

previously i own a shp8900. i think it is too bright and lack of mid. i like the clarity though especially with gitar music.

i own a crossroad quottro too but i am always on the 2nd cap, moderate bass.

i also owns a aego m too. my aego m is always on 1st level bass.
i am not showing off here but i hope by showing the preference of my gears, you guys could give me a more accurate recommendation towards mood/music signature of the headphone.

basically i listen to a wide range of songs. bass is important but i hate it to be boomy n i dun listen to dance/house/techno musics. i do listen a lot pop songs and i use the headphone for movies n gaming too. and i like vocal songs a lot too, especially songs from emi fujita or eva cassidy.

i wan a headphone with good soundstage, nice vocals and good low bass yet not too boomy. it would be nice if they could like aego m or harman kardon soundstick 2.

hope u guys can help me out coz the place i live now is kind of impossible to go for a headphone audition.

hi there

u are not showing off but a correct way to tell people ur preference, clear n easily to understand smile.gif

most of the headphones around 1k budget would not only give u bass but give u the overall performance especially audiophile headphones

ur preference seems like similar to me, need bass but don`t want those boomy n loosy bass. wad i want is those tight n kick bass
and at the same time love to listen to pop songs a lot especially vocals. Vocals normally need some good mid

with the 1k of budget, normally i would go with 1 headphones and 1 amplifier to boosted up the performance of the headphones because normally headphones that come with 1k need an amp to pair with so that that would sound

u may try and search the model down here:

Beyerdynamic DT880, Beyerdynamic DT770
Grado Sr225i, Allessandro MS2i
Audio Technica AD900 n other series
Shure 840
Denon D2000

Hi all. I'm searching for a headphone or IEM, still not sure. My budget is around RM500, but maybe can exceed a little bit. I'm using Cowon J3 biggrin.gif, primarily for music. Almost all the songs inside my J3 is FLAC. I think I listen to all types of songs.

So what do u expect on the headphones/iems? Clarity? Mids? Highs? Bass? All rounder? Up ur budget to rm600 and get urself a fischer audio dba - 02. Clean n detailed iem. And dont worry about bass, the lil sucker can handle low bass quite good if u have good isolation. This is my personal recommendation btw.

Oh, I took the SE777 out bcoz it doesn't sound like a all-rounder IEM to me, actually I don't like it at all, bcoz they sound very harsh to my ear.

Hey yea I know I got ton of choices. The main reason why I'm comparing the RS is because is wireless but I got no idea how it sounds. It depends on my mood on what music I listen to, I won't be listening to jazz or instrumental all the time smile.gif

would prefer open. RS170 is close where 180 is open

Also considering a earphone, sennheiser IE7 or IE8.

PS : Still like the wireless but not sure if the SQ will be disrupted and when comparing to the same price point is it worth getting a wired one? (HD595)

Forgotten to add, I am considering RS160 as well since the transmitter is portable(able to run with battery) where as the 170 and 180 has to been power corded.
*
yes definitely, if using wireless, the SQ surely will lose out compare with wired, and you need to spend extra $ on technology + SQ, which mean will cost even more expensive if you just wan to focus on SQ.

so basically u listen to almost anything? any requirement for your headphones/earphone? size? focusing on??
Open or close actuallly not that big different, i heard alot close cans with good, accurate and wide soundstage, so they both actually the same to me.

i would recommend if you stay near KL area, head over to jaben, they have all of them for you to try out

hi guys!

well, currently 'm using some rm100-ish philips she9700, however a friend robbed it from me so now i'm looking for another pair.

we both somehow think it sounds slightly better than soundmagic pl-30 using the same source.

looking for a pair below rm250, preferably ones that are comfy cuz gonna use for jogging.

is pl-50 good for value if priced at rm180? or shld i go for eterna/silver bullet etc for rm2XX? Thx in advance!

Hi, I am looking for Audio Technica and Sennheisier Full ear headphones...

Budget around rm300-500, which ones are the best bang for the buck?

Sound quality wise looking for something medium in bass but good mid and clarity because I mainly listen to how singers sing and their singing techniques...

Any recommendations? eventhough I narrowed down to these 2 brands, there's just too many headphones of similar price and I dunno which ones are the best for me...

btw, are Monster headphones good? It seems like a trend nowadays, I haven't tried one myself...
