QUOTE(genpaku @ Jul 28 2010, 04:42 PM)
yup...sr60i is at the top of my list right now...so many good review about this headphone...
let say i want to buy SR60i (RM290)...is it worth to add another RM1XX and get SR80i or MS1i instead? "walabies" from jaben also recommend me MS1i (thru PM)...
*
for me i will take either MS1i or SR80, because it's another huge upgrade from SR60, and it's value for money
it's really depend on you, lots of ppl say that MS1 and SR80 are comparable, however, they are quite similar, but with different way of musicality presentation.

IMHO, MS1i sort of for all rounder (more laidback, musical), while SR80 suitable for Rock, metal due to their aggresiveness, forward, fast pace presentation. which can create a fun and exciting environment for rock lovers.
However, MS1i still able to drive throu rock with another musical path which SR80 can't be compared.
i should say they both have their pros and cons.

Different taste, different opinion, the best i suggest is go to Jaben malaysia and have a test on all of them, then only decide.
Uncle yuheng will really teach you how to differentiate them biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

P/S : Sorry for noob opinion by me

I'm looking for in-ear portable earphone, budget less than RM300. Currently the model in mind is Sennheiser CX300-II Precision. Can you guys recommend any other models/brands (Denon, Shure... ) within the budget? I going to pair it with my iPhone. Prefer to have bass enhanced.

Thank you very much.

Hey thanks for the reply, forgotten to add that.

I used to listen those R&B (those you used to listen in the clubs), electro and trance, and sometimes will go for some soft music if i'm exhausted for the day.

What i'm expecting from the incoming IEM would be the bass first, then to the vocals.

I would prefer the IEMs suggested are paired with mic, which is important for my incoming calls. smile.gif
*
erm... if you going for mic, kinda limited your options, some good IEM doesnt come with mic >.<

maybe you can try for VB or crossroad woody 2, both have nice, depth and controable bass with a very warm and balance signature which suitable for mid vocal.

it really depends, if you are a super bass head and can tahan non-stop punching from super bass for several hours then is ok.
for me 5mins from sony bass xb series and i will feel headache and fatigue.

hey guys need some help, dont have time to go for audition. Planning to get a headphone or maybe earphone. Currently looking at sennheiser RS 170/180 and HD 485. Or AKG K390NC Any comments or any one had any experience?
*
Sennheiser RS180/170 are wireless series, if you got the budget for both of them, you got ton of choices, what is your preference of music? any requirement from the headphones? size? open/close?

Beyerdynamic DT770 pro, 880,990
sennheiser HD598,600,650
Audio technica AD900, A950, ESW9,ES10
AKG K701
Grado SR325, Alessandro MS2 etc...

you really got ton of choices, those are examples

QUOTE(kLvru @ Oct 29 2010, 11:54 PM)
Hey yea I know I got ton of choices. The main reason why I'm comparing the RS is because is wireless but I got no idea how it sounds. It depends on my mood on what music I listen to, I won't be listening to jazz or instrumental all the time smile.gif

would prefer open. RS170 is close where 180 is open

Also considering a earphone, sennheiser IE7 or IE8.

PS : Still like the wireless but not sure if the SQ will be disrupted and when comparing to the same price point is it worth getting a wired one? (HD595)

Forgotten to add, I am considering RS160 as well since the transmitter is portable(able to run with battery) where as the 170 and 180 has to been power corded.
*
yes definitely, if using wireless, the SQ surely will lose out compare with wired, and you need to spend extra $ on technology + SQ, which mean will cost even more expensive if you just wan to focus on SQ.

so basically u listen to almost anything? any requirement for your headphones/earphone? size? focusing on??
Open or close actuallly not that big different, i heard alot close cans with good, accurate and wide soundstage, so they both actually the same to me.

i would recommend if you stay near KL area, head over to jaben, they have all of them for you to try out

hi guys,

appreciate a few pointers here. basically using shure se102's for a while now and would like to get an upgrade. budget's rm300 or so. Must be IEMs.

the shure set offered a very wide range of sounds, but slacked in the bass department.

tl;dr -suggest IEMs for a budget of RM300, with more bass

thanks loads!
*
ermm, you can try such as sherwood SE777, denon C551, A-jays, T-jays, Hippo VB, sennheiser CX300 , klipsch S4 and many more
