QUOTE(cafuheva @ Aug 1 2010, 05:25 AM) News on the death grip is real, but iphone4 is great product overall you can find other articles claiming the other way round toohttp://www.metro.co.uk/news/836713-death-g...esearchers-find let's just ignore all these 'reviews'. get urself an iphone, n test it urself if this death grip is true or not. plus, if ure gonna use a casing, it doesnt matter anyway too much ppl complain about things they never try themselves This post has been edited by dvlzplayground: Aug 1 2010, 08:15 AM |

QUOTE(minde @ Aug 2 2010, 03:25 PM) We should warn people not to post anything regarding warez then the thing is, it hasnt always been like this. we've allowed discussion on jailbreaking before and it ALWAYS lead to piracy. i understand that it seems 'premature' but we already know what is going to happen. this is not some mod simply deciding to ban jailbreak discussion, we already discussed about this (including non-mods) and the majority agreed to ban jailbreaking discussion.so yes, banning jailbreak discussion isnt the best solution, since jailbreaking is indeed helpful. simply 'warning about piracy discussion' isnt enough. so unless someone has a better idea, we'll just have to stick with banning jailbreak dicussion altogether. not ideal, but the most effective so far |

^ supposedly apple made the signal indicator more 'strict'. it's not that u're getting less signal (u still get the same dB) but the 'range' is bigger
we cannot compare how many bars/line between phones of different brands.. full bar in a nokia might mean only 2 bar on iphone n vice versa. there's no standard way of calculating how many bars should a particular signal strength be |

IMHO, the locked sets arent worth the hassle
SG sets need to wait around 3 weeks to get. it is speculated that u can pre-order from maxis around the middle of this month, n get the phone in mid-september. rumour is rumour la, but the ivalue plans are pretty attractive to me. but then SG set u can buy extra 1 year warrnty. hmmmm This post has been edited by dvlzplayground: Aug 5 2010, 01:09 PM |

QUOTE(starlight @ Aug 7 2010, 03:26 AM) Why they want to use LED flash instead of the xenon flash stuff or something? Wouldnt it be more perfect with better flash? one advantage of LED flash is that it does better as a constant light source compared to xenon. meaning it's better for videos, and good enough for photosQUOTE(rattan @ Aug 7 2010, 04:05 AM) will ios4 ever come to iphone 2g without multitasking? knowing the iphone2g processor is really weak. i dun mind ios without the multitasking bcos i know the iphone2g processor would not take it. most probably not |

QUOTE(SimonHooi @ Aug 10 2010, 03:05 PM) Um, I'm sorry but I do have one questions, need some adivise from many sifus >:[ u really really really should go out n play with an android phone with ur own handsBeen struggling in adroid phone and iPhone4 , which one to choose? My only confern for ip4 is the glass shatters problem , ip4 seems very fragile at the moment , so I'm a bit worried abt regarding this issue . BTH , I kinda like ip4 becos it looks nice and sophisticated. Please advise, thanks to all sifu. P/S: BTW my english is noob and poor personally i think android OS is very good, especially the widgets. was seriously considering a HTC desire until i got to play with it in a shop. the touchscreen isnt as responsive as my ipod touch. for me, no matter how good the OS is, if the touchscreen is not that good, no point also. imagine using a computer which the keyboard is so hard to press. not sure about galaxy S though it'll be iphone4 for me since i already spent a lot on apps, n i can connect it to my car's alpine system (need charger converter though, anyone know where can i buy one locally?) btw, u shud ask the same question in an android thread QUOTE(robinlim @ Aug 10 2010, 03:18 PM) I received an e-mail from maxis on the update of the iphone4 availability this afternoon i juz got the email too It mentioned that it's coming 'very soon' I wonder how soon is 'very soon' ![]() |

QUOTE(intothefantasy @ Aug 12 2010, 02:19 AM) go try get a hold on galaxy S, i hold my fren galaxy S and i can say that this fon is huge...4inch size...ok then the back of the fon feels plastic...and is damn thin and damn light...it feels like u are holding nth...and with this feeling i do feel that dropping this piece of plastic will surely go to hell...as for ip4 i never get to hold it yet...but i am certain that a 3.5inch is much safer to hold than a 4inch...and for my past exp with 3gs which the width and height should not be vary much compare to the ip4...i am better holding 3gs than the galaxy S....and of course all this is my personal opinion and exp...go try out for urself plastics should be better in surviving drops compared to glass. but then im not sure how special is apple's ip4 glass is. drop test, anyone? QUOTE(kentang_peranchis @ Aug 12 2010, 09:07 AM) why r u like an eager beaver? afaik, there is no additional features with this new firmware except to plug the pdf exploit hole. cuz it's free...might as well... perhaps is better to wait until 4.1 is released instead? |

i juz read this from gsmarena.com
QUOTE The latest iPhone 4 supports Wi-Fi b/g/n standards. Though we didn’t have a Wireless N router for testing, we can happily confirm that the Wi-Fi connection is much faster than that of the iPhone 3G over a G connection. What’s more, if you press your palm against the iPhone 4 Wi-Fi antenna – the metal strip on the upper left hand side of the phone – you even get a signal boost. That’s exactly the opposite to the issue we’re having with the cell signal. hahah. anyone tried it? |
