No good for wet seasons...

Just installed custom pipe today, thanks to bro CnG. As promised, here is my review

This review is for the 4 items i installed today:
1. Faito spark plug cable
2. W81 plug (i think is iridium spark plug)
3. Custom pipe
4. Replace custom pipe fiber with better one

When my bike first out from workshop, BH ask one of his joki (indian guy, i don't know what is his name) to test ride. He claimed the top speed can reach 160.

On the way to makan (lunch time), tested at coastal highway, from QB to Tesco direction, full throttle a while, top speed can hit 140++, i think if drag somemore can reach 150.

Overall i am 95% satisfy with the performance:
- sound level : a bit noisy when at gear N, 1 and 2. But after gear 3 and 4, if you are cruising around 80-90, you won't notice the sound anymore
- pickup : sure got increase lah, but i didn't really test it yet
- smoothness : a lot smoother, especially in shifting gears, eg from gear 1 to 2, you won't feel the jerk
- top speed : increase around 10-15 like that, depends on the wind condition
- smoke from the pipe : one thing i noticed was this custom pipe produces more air than stock pipe, maybe like what CnG said the custom pipe was designed to help to suck the hot air out from the engine. So i very pity the people at the back of my bike, especially waiting on the traffic light, cause his face sure kena the smoke from my pipe one, haha...


Bro CnG, i asked the Touch n Go counter liao, the new TnG card cost rm110 (card = rm10, balance = rm100).

v rubber = slipper tyre on wet condition or even kena some water on the road

racing footrest indeed illegal, only malaysia hv this kind of law against it.

coz its like ori shape sound abit loud nia, till the ends power increase.

WALAO! exhaust sound quite loud.. calvin also admit himself its loud.. but i dunno the sound after put in the better fiber.. mayb a lot of difference.. =)

but if wet only.. vee rubber can bye2 liao..

it is the compund that makes it different..

last time i use to pull and push my bike to change position.. (vee rubber) no need carry bike.. just bend the bike sideway a bit.. and push it..the tyre will skid on the tiles..

if now i using (maxxis diamond) pull time will feel that the tyre is gripping on the tiles..so need to carry a bit... quality is indeed far way superior than vee rubber..


ITSUKI... u try to make ur front tyre wet.. just ride it at the parking place there.. ride slow.. then u use front brake to brake.. brake hard..let the tyre lock.. u can see the bike will still 'choo choo bun' go to the front..

after that u got change tyre time.. u try urself and see... it hardly will choo choo bun anymore.. got the rubber sound wan..vee rubber if tyre lock..no sound.. just slide.. tyre totally not gripping the floor..

thanks for the feedback... end up I use Farreli, for ~RM70 rear, size 80/90. The bunga is non directional, like TT100, aka bunga sotong... not trying to promo, but the reasons I use are: Buatan M'sia, & supposedly it's 'pancit boleh jalan'. Once the front TT9 habis, I'll get the arrow one.

Next question about tire, for those of you using arrow type... in my case, the TT9 become jagged, meaning the tire become like 'wave' shape, where the end of the front bunga is lower then the beginning of the next bunga. Know what I mean? So when I ride, sometimes the steering will shake left-right-left-right, following the 'waves' of the tire... am really thinking to throw it away liao.

What about the arrow tires you all use? Maxxis, Duro etc...

Oh, btw, Itsuki, Duro Taiwan use silver wrapping one, if not mistaken. And make sure you buy the tire is fresh, less than one year old. Check the rubber stamped on the side wall... I hope you already know this.

Tell you guys a story, the other day I was just looking for tire around town, went to this ah-pek shop. They complain Dunlop quality bad, showing an example of an 'exploded' TT100... the tire basically has the grip surface and the sidewall separated during operation. I looked at the date code, it spells "1004", meaning this tire is manufactured week 10 of year 2004. A frickin' 6 year old tire man...

MS1394 or E75R label, this the code i copy from page 7 thread

From Zelk's posting, we need to buy tires with Sirim certified (MS1394) that can be previewed here. Latest release is MS1394:2008. Farrelli, for example is granted MS1393:1996, probably comply to the other clauses.
The other standard is ECE-R75, or E75R, which is an European standard for tires.

The datecode that I mention, is the manufacturing date of the tire, that looks like this:

This means it's manufactured in week 25 of year 2006.

Beware, if you see only 3-digit, the tyre is manufactured in the 90's. Example, if datecode of "256" means it's made in year 1996...
I've once met a shop trying to sell me a 10 year old tire cheap cheap... it's an IRC racing tyre, made in Japan, and I almost bought it... lucky I checked.
