What calcillis said. Let your team's heavies draw fire and then go flank the enemy. You do not want to be the first tank to be spotted by the enemy.

Being a top tank plays slightly different though. (Generally Tier V-VII). You would need to play more aggressively, supporting a push.

As for me, I just rediscovered my SU-26, and I forgot how fun it was to be using this rapid-fire SPG.

I go for a collection, since I'm in no hurry to reach the top tier. (Clan Wars made me think otherwise, but oh well, the T28P serves well enough.)

Yes. Don't bother aiming at their turrets. Their frontal hull armour can also bounce shots if angled. Best face them down directly.

Don't bring Tier X guns into this. T29 is just a poor Tier VII heavy.

Self-Propelled Guns or SPG.

You may be able to hit a tank behind an obstacle, depending on how high the arc of fire the SPG has. (SU-8 has an higher arc than say... StrmPz II)

You do know that SPG has very low accuracy and slow ROF?

You probably hit a weakspot without knowing.

I was guilty of that myself the other day in my SU-26. With good reason.

Some idiot in a BT-7 thought it would be fun to shoot off my tracks while I'm getting into position. Okay, I thought, no biggie. I proceeded to murder two tanks first. Then he started pushing me, throwing off my aim.

Bullshit.

I TK-ed him and proceeded to blow up another three tanks. The funny thing is how he turned around and accused me of teamkilling him without reason. Dude had nothing to say when I say I recorded the game.

The power of evidence to show up imbeciles like these guys.

Well, if I get banned because of this, then so be it. I already was patient enough when he shot my tracks off for like 5 minutes non-stop.

That depends. Do you want the US heavy or medium tanks? They both have entirely different playstyles. There is no "best" tanks for newbie.

I'm sad I can't take advantage of any Tier IX discount except for the Obj 212. Oh well.

About 80k to go. Not playing frequently enough to grind it anyway.
