QUOTE(FLampard @ Nov 2 2012, 10:34 PM)
how do u evaluate accuracy info on the tank? theres a weapon that has accuracy 1 and another 0. what does it means?
*
It's the amount of dispersion at 100m. Generally, a smaller value means the weapon is more accurate.

What the accuracy rating doesn't show is how much it disperses on the move though. Some guns like the D-10T are horrible to aim on the move while others like the T-62A gun can keep their sights on a target at full speed.

Helping a friend to grind a Tier 5 French Heavy. Boy, those English tanks in tier 1-4 totally outperform french tanks(Was using D2).

As for me, I got abit stuck when I bought the VK2801. Can't farm well in this tank too with repair cost of 9k max per round. And the Panzer 4 seems outgunned at any time ;_;.Even the Tiger P can only perform well when flanking with teammates.

TLDR: I got mentally stuck when playing recently. Maybe stop for a few days to refresh myself?
*
It's common knowledge that early French tanks are made of suck and fail. The only thing that made it bearable was the fact they get awesome later.

Try platooning. Having a reliable friend around makes a huge difference.

I platooned with him a few times(before he has to travel for work) with a D2 and we are kinda works best as static bunker defenders. I was thinking of pairing with him with a Panzer38(t) for better effect but not sure...

Also, I noticed the Char B1 is technically a larger D2(same chassis IRL lol) with slightly better protection. Should I have him play that or farm straight to Tier 5 heavy?(yes i can afford some gold for the free exp exchange)
*
You're playing it as intended. The D2 (and B1) is not made to destroy tanks, only to act as a roadblock.

when i am top tier, as i busy fighting with opponent's top tank, half way i found my teammate all died.  shocking.gif

btw, ur ammunation is so so so expensive shocking.gif
*
I have no idea why the top tier players are so poor these days. As a SuperPershing, I can literally bottle up half the team with a teammate.

lots of player also have no idea how to move in common map, (the new dragon ridge can understand, i play on that map twice only. ) but map like himmelsdorf, none of tanks want go to hill, end up whole team pawned
*
Ahaha. Himmelsdorf hill. Yes, some just don't know tactics. Or they lemming zerg a particular point without consideration.

Reminded me of a game I had where we trapped and surrounded an entire team on the hill. Won the game 15 > 3 too. tongue.gif

It's the draw of public games. Sometimes I get ridiculous frustrated and that's when you see me post angry posts. Sometimes I get a nice 10 win streak. Wish I won more though. HAve seen guys with hundreds of games and 70%+ wr, but I suppose those aren't completely from public games.
*
Those guys with 70% WR almost never play without a platoon and IIRC they dominated the early Tier X race early on.

im new to the game... using t57... i wonder whats the best SPG? in terms of accuracy? im tier 2 only lol  tongue.gif
*
No best SPG per se. Each have their own strength and weaknesses. I can't comment on French SPGs, having not played them yet.

For early tier SPG: (Tier II to Tier IV)
T-57 - Fairly mobile, good ROF, weak shells
SU-18 - Nothing special about this.
Bison - Has a huge gun for its tier.

M37 - Again, good ROF, still weak shells.
SU-26 - Best SPG of its tier, only one with a turret so no need to deal with aim dispersion everytime you move your hull. Pinpoint accuracy too.
StrmPz II - Meh. I guess the only redeeming point is that it leads to the excellent Grille later on.
Wespe - More mobile than StrmPz, able to load AP shells for lulz.

M7 Priest - Pretty good ROF, excellent range. Marred by poor damage per shell.
Grille - Big gun for its tier, only one able to damage HTs reliably.
SU-5 - The dud of the Russian SPG line. Meh range, limited ammo. Only saving grace is that it has pinpoint accuracy.

The SPGs become pretty similar from Tier V onwards, though they still retain their unique characteristics. (All are able to damage high tier tanks, all have similar damage output and range are equalised for most part.) It's in the lower tiers where they are most drastically different.

Heh. Yeah. Unless you're the Bison or Grille, don't bother shooting at HTs unless you really have nothing else to do.

although i did find the lack of firepower annoying sometimes

and Obj 704 can equip the BL 10 right of the bat ,thxful i'm so lucky that time
*
Same in my T-44, though I did have to bust my free xp to get the new turret asap so that I can equip D-10T. Now with the LB-1, it's almost bearable. The somewhat sluggish movement still grinds my gears though.

I make do. It handles like the T-43 on a bad day, but since I'm already used to the T-43, it's not such a big deal. For me, actually hitting something and penetrating is more important. (The 85mm is worthless in Tier IX-X battles, and the D-10T is just horrible to aim.)

Nothing good positioning and intelligent play can't solve at any rate. I won't be dogfighting Types yet, but I can make them pay.

how is LB-1 gun?

from stats almost same like D-10t

planning to get engine first
*
Huge difference, mainly in terms of accuracy. The D-10T (aka 1D10T gun) has god awful accuracy and aim time. You need to poke your head out like 3-4sec just for the reticle to close into a reasonable size. And no guarantee you would hit either, with 0.42 acc. (which is the same as the D2-5-T). You cannot fire on the move either with the D-10T, since it disperses very badly. You either play as a quite ineffectual sniper, or you can dive in and dogfight, which the D-10T does reasonably well if nothing else.

The LB-1 on the other hand, allows you to peek-a-boo better, and more importantly, allows you to target weakspots which you really struggle with D-10T. (For comparison, 0.35 acc is on par with my 90mm gun on the Hellcat. And the Hellcat is a damn good sniper.) With 175 pen, it becomes rather necessary. With Vertical Stabilisers, I have read it can fire on the move quite comfortably as well, something to consider if you're planning to dogfight.

Engine is good, but since damage means exp and credit, I feel a better weapon should be prioritised first. Especially if you don't want to be missing 1 out of every 3 easy shots.
