i've barred 17 students (out of 110) from sitting final exam due to various reasons, mainly attendance below 80%. yesterday they all datang merayu and begging me with offers that u could only imagine...

HI guys..just wanna know a bit..the latest news circulating around is over UUM's new academic calendar. The year-end holidays for them is confirmed to be 4 months long..May till Sept..so just wondering..is it a nationwide thing or just that uni..because I have 'geniuses' who tell me since the Ministy approved, means we're all getting it..

So hope any of u hearing anything do let me know..Thanks

i have heard about the same thing. it's a suggestion from the ministry to accommodate the raya holidays. which means the semester will start AFTER raya holidays.

however, it is up to each university to adopt it or not. we in UTM have not received any directives from the administration. it's still open, so pray hard .

haha..pray hard that we'll get it or pray hard we won't get it?does this mean we're giving up our dec holidays or just the mid sem break?

the semester duration and breaks remain the same. it's just a one off thing. they're pushing everything back by 2-3 months. meaning the semester will end in january, while the 2nd semester will begin in march.

normally 2 months holiday also feel like garbage at home ady.

i just got a memo. it is confirmed that the next session will start on 12 sept 2011.

it's for semester 1 of the 2011/12 session. it's the one supposed to start in july next year.

we dont normally use semesters 4 or 5 as a reference because it's only relevant to your studies .

that means next semester got 4month break??
terpaksa jugak carik kerja it seems..
