Hi everyone,

My postgraduate studies start this coming Sept, and most likely will get placed under KDOJ according to the staff that I talked over the phone # they have provided. I looked up on google maps, and that's 3.4km, approx. 1 hour of walking distance.

Would like to know if stay in Kolej Dato Onn Jaafar (KDOJ) without car/motorbike be a problem ?

I heard there's bus/transit within UTM, does it include outer ring as well ?

How punctual the bus schedules are, and your experience on taking the bus ?

Hello seniors,

I just received an offer for chemical process engineering in UTM KL, under MJIIT program.
Is it MQA accredited? I can't find it on the MQA website. And does MQA accredition important for this course?
Any seniors studying this course? Please give me some advise for the course.
Thanks!

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Aalborg University (AAU) Joint PhD Degree In Engineering Education

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark are offering a joint PhD degree in Engineering Education where both the universities are already offering the PhD programme for several years.

UTM is Malaysia’s premier university in engineering and technology. The UTM Centre for Engineering Education (CEE), which has been actively involved in conducting training and research in the engineering education to promote scholarly and evidence-based practices, manages the PhD in Engineering Education programme. With an enrolment of about 40 students, the programme is run in collaboration with engineering and social science based academics who supervise the students.

AAU is known world-wide for its successful educational approach based on problem based project organised work (PBL). The UNESCO Chair in PBL in Engineering Education is located at AAU and is running an intensive PhD programme on PBL in Engineering Education and curriculum change. Currently 17 international PhD fellows are enrolled at the UNESCO Chair.

Both UTM and AAU have an extensive global research network and have organised various conferences, seminars and workshops, nationally and internationally to disseminate and share research findings. Both universities are also renowned in the teaching and learning of engineering.

Nearest is LRT Sri Rampai. You can take LRT from Sri Rampai to Dang Wangi and then take monorail to Titiwangsa.

I thought the bus service only for weekdays? haha. And actually how the Rapid KL works? The information from the utm website it shows that we can take Rapid KL U21 from Titiwangsa to UTM KL, so it will straight reach the campus?

#I meant the shuttle service from KSJ to UTM.

Hi guys, need some serious advise please.

My cousin got caught in the finals using his handphone. He was asked to sign a document and then told to leave the hall. The lecturer that caught him contacted him and said that the academic office will contact him soon regarding this problem.
The issue is this is his second time, the first time due to random check, he had some notes in his pencil case, the lecturer failed him for that subject.

Since it is the 2nd time now, what will the punishment be? will they fail him for all the subjects in this semester or suspend/expel him? Any advise on how to handle this. Is possible to beg to ask for lower punishment? Suspension or expulsion is too difficult for him to handle, will it be possible to transfer to other Uni if hets expelled? I hope you guys can give some proper advise and not just bash this.. Need help.

Thank you in advance

that is serious. to top it off it is second time he got caught. is it same lecturer? which fac is that?

my experience so far, i just saw student got caught and the lecturer just took the note and the student cont the exam (this is before the exam starts though)

by book. if im not mistaken fac will fail him for all the subjects in that particular semester. expel will be too harsh i guess sad.gif
