just a question abt gamers gate.. the downloader

when i download a game it will create the temporary folder with some number folder inside it..

lets say if im downloading 3 games at one which subfolder do i know which one belongs to ?

Hmm... I've never attempt multiple downloads simultaneously due to crappy broadband speed. My guess would be to check the file contents of those numbered folders?

another thing is, when i stop and keep the temporary files..

and later i continue the download it always starts from the beginning is it suppose to be like that.. ??

cause some of the temporary files folder have a setup.exe file but some dont have.. and when i rerun the downloader to isntall it will always download.. kinda annoyed with it..

Nope, if you manually stop a download-in-progress & later on rerun the GamersGate downloader, it should resume from where you paused earlier. May I know if you move the GamersGate downloader application & the temporary files folder around? If you did, make sure you move them together as they must reside in the same directory / folder.

If your system was rebooted / shut down unexpectedly then yes, the GamersGate downloader will not be able to place a mark on where you left off & when re-initialized, will start from scratch again.

what does cashback mean? 15% cashback?

For GamersGate, cashback means they'll rebate you in the form of Blue Coins, which is similar to Steam Wallet funds. For example, if the game is $30 with cashback of $5, you'll be paying $30 to get the game & get $5 loaded into your Blue Coins, which you can use for future game purchase.

However, to buy games using blue coins, you'll need the full amount.

Ie. if it cost USD5 worth of blue coins, u'll have to pay USD5 worth of blue coins. Not USD2.50 in cash with USD2.50 in blue coins.

So far I like Gamer's Gate system as I can earn blue coins with each purchases. Hope to reach black level soon then I'll get 10% worth of blue coins with each purchase.

Yar, I like the blue coins system too, I usually keep them to buy very cheap games on offer that are only few usds.

Still better than nothing to get some of the amount of purchases back.

Moreover higher level of membership (the yellow/red/black thing) means sometimes bigger sales (like sales can be 50% for yellow, 60 for red and 70 for black)

Holy crap, I didn't know that.

So far I have been buying Steamwork games and some older games from Gamer's Gate.

For gamers gate you can move the files even tho it's only downloaded halfway and resume it again on another pc. But installation of the game require internet connection and it will asks you to input your gamers gate login.

you need to copy this folder and the installer file into the same location for it to work.

folder - "GamersGate temporary files"
Download Mount & Blade- With Fire and Sword.exe

move this folder and .exe file to any where you want and it will resume the download properly.
