This seems to be a common problem reported here and other forums. Unfortunately it is hardware. Probably the screen digitizer is faulting, an expensive repair. I have one whole column that does not respond to touch. The ghosting has stopped somehow.
I suspect mine started with USB connector becoming wider and the circuits inside jiggled loose from movement. Good luck.

if u have milestone 2 then there no point buying D2G
D2G have cdma n gsm mode together, only that is the different
however, they cannot shared the same rom but i think can be rooted using the same method

QUOTE(rooben90 @ Apr 5 2012, 03:04 AM) Same here, I bought a new digitilizer online. Will report back here when I exchanged it. Btw my software is acting up too. Can recommend me stable smooth software? Im currently using cm 7.1, so unreliable. I want something better.

Maybe helpful tips for some with screen problems:
Whenever possible use voice dictation for messages. Train yourself to speak plain slow international English.
Anything with unusual vocabulary, local names, use slide out keyboard.
Clear old messages and seldom used apps to avoid restarting.
Try your friend's mini USB chargers to see if any connect better than the original, if that is causing problems.
If blind spots. use home screen app like GO that allows different icon sizes, eg, 3 column grid instead of 4.
Use slide out keyboard to select apps in the blind spot.
I'm determined to keep using my Milestone until I see something really better.

I bough a new digitalizer and fixed my touchscreen problem. Taking the phone apart to fix the digitalizer was kinda hard though.

Not sure about the repair counters, I did not bother but I'm sure they can. I did it myself anyway. Note: Tmart gives a free Supplied screwdriver that is t6, you need a t5. You also need a small Philips. Note: not easy to be done, need to be patient and carefull. Bloody cables and connectors everywhere as the touchscreen has to be accesed from the back, meaning everything has to be taken apart. So far after a week, phone working great.

Slightly more than 1 week to get delivered. Yea I broke a ribbon while trying to disassemble a phone before, learned my lesson from that. Have to be patient especially if inexperienced. Anyway tmart does free international shipping. Very value, not sure about the quality though, not original, not sure how long will last but it works fine. Actually I just replaced the touchscreen but I'm not sure whether the original touchscreen is faulty. Could also be due to some loose connection. I did not do any test.
