QUOTE(Sham903n @ Jun 20 2010, 05:59 PM) RM38 bucks for 384kbps unlimited with no telephone rent RM26 on top of it is wrong price ? or should it be RM26 phone rent + RM12 for 384kpbs unlimited combo? the real price is actually RM12 if your good in math.. (im not) also Broad-band means... that particular digital line in regards to internet connection has a "broad" capability to handle data speed from XX kbps to X Mbps which the line offered here is capable..unlike the old analog data transfer.. narrow band xx kpbs to xx kpbs ... thus its called "Broadband"... obviously ur think too much d... why do u need RM38 - Rm26 = Rm12 ? is it because normally TM charge us Rm26 for phone line ? its very simple , Rm38 for 384kbps combo package ...

If TM also charge line rental on top of the RM38, then it would be RM26+Rm38=RM64
Only get RM2 discount when compared to a streamyx package a few years ago.
And RM4 more expensive then streamyx combo.
Good luck on getting 50% BB penetration if this is true.

QUOTE(brian12988 @ Jun 18 2010, 11:35 AM) not everyone needs 20Mb packages that cost RM250.... $$ is not an issue, the only limitation is that my area is not support by 20mbps equipment at this moment and very likely in the next 10 years... sigh.. my hometown is even worst, not saying streamyx, 56kbps also not availble... sigh maresia, maresia....

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jun 22 2010, 04:46 PM) So is it really RM 20 for 30 hours with free installation ? with contract 1 year ? It seems to me the package includes the RM26 phone line rental. So forget the Streamyx, forget the 30 hours, I actually save on my phone rental if I apply this package. Did I understand this correctly? RM26 + 30 hour Streamyx = RM20 ???

Like the Jalur Lebar dengan Komputer 1Malaysia package. Also said the same thing there. Or do they mean "designated area" as places where they have ports? Is that damned line in the regular combo/blockbuster package too?

They need to rem the kawasan yang telah dikenal pasti oleh TM sahaja dengan pendapatan isi rumah kurang daripada RM5000 sebulan bagi kawasan bandar dan RM3000 bagi kawasan luar bandar..
Rich people need this too. It is not like everyone of us get internet for streaming youtube etc. I spend most of my time Trading forex, surfing, sometime gaming. Like I need more than that. 384K is enough.

I thought the RM5000 or RM3000 income requirement was for the 1Malaysia package with netbook? This is the thread for Jimat Hebat package or does it have the same income requirements? If so then better take the netbook option instead. Can't find any reference to the Jimat Hebat package on Streamyx site.

Thats like saying, petrol expensive? use bicycle.. or eat outside expensive, cook your own food? not... hehehe looks like the requirements are not really the same as the 1malaysia netbook package.. its really for designated area not only for kampung, but low cost flats even in towns etc.. Im trying to get confirmation on this.. This post has been edited by Sham903n: Jun 25 2010, 08:42 AM

"for designated area" probably means so called "rich" taman cannot apply. If so, then next to useless for a lot of people like the poor guy in another forum thread who cannot subscribe special package because living in kampung next to "rich" taman.
