QUOTE
Pelanggan Komputer 1Malaysia akan terus membayar harga yang sama selepas 24 bulan manakala pelanggan HP akan membayar harga yang sama seperti pelanggan Komputer 1Malaysia hanya selepas 24 bulan.

QUOTE(firesfrog @ Jun 18 2010, 01:14 AM)
what is this mean?
*
You're referring to the 1Malaysia package where you get a free local brand netbook for RM38/month OR HP netbook for extra RM21 (total = RM59) for two year contract.
After 24 months, those who took HP netbook will pay only RM38 just like those who took local netbook

BTW, RM38 is for 384kbps speed.

they always come with new package for NEW subscriber only...they really don't care about existing customer.... sad.gif

True. In overseas, existing customer is being offered with computers/ handphone so that they renew their contract in the hope that they will stay with particular ISP. But sadly, there's no competition at all in Malaysia. TM just have to lure even more new customer, they don't have to make extra effort to keep existing customer because they know we don't have any alternative.

1Mbps is like dial-up already , 384Kbps is far more worst. Its good if you just wanna say hello , e-mail , check stocks and umm play facebook games thats about it

If you're thinking of streaming videos , downloading then forget it. Even 4Mbps is slow for a lot of task these days

We always say things to please ourselves only.Syok sendiri and self pleasing.
Would the ITU recognize your claims?

Even country such as Thailand is already setting the minimum benchmark of 4mbps as entry level package in metro Bangkok.

How can they still claim that 384kbps is broadband and then say that in the next few years we've reached 50% broadband penetration?
Who would endorse your claims when broadband by international definition by that time would be 10mbps at least?

Just like what they are trying to do is to get as much graduates into the market by pushing for more local papermills and claim that we have very high literacy rate but by then employers will have a totally whole new definition of education unless you've managed to get yourself a good degree from some top university such as Harvard or MIT.

I say this is all talk but no effort. 384kbps can get almost nothing done nowadays with the internet. Your Facebook would just load as slow as you've waited for sites to load during the dial up days.

By calling RM38 Broadband Unlimited, they are already misleading their potential customers.

SKMM better change their dated speed definition for the term 'broadband'.

By most humble standards, 2mbps should be the minimum speed. It's 2010 already.

Even Mongolians on average surf at 5-6mbps speeds.

We all know the solution. But there's little that can be done with corruption and monopoly.

this tread is not about race, where you come from, your great great great grand father/mother is from.. or about corruption and monopoly.. please keep your rant or your race comments to your self.. or any comment like If im not happy living in this nation, I can always leave and move to thailand.. comment..

I guess the idea about reaching the "kampung" with affordable internet "digital" connection and reducing the digital divide difference from villagers and town.. probably Celcom have made a good move by having Celcom Broadband Center in Kampungs giving these people a chance to feel and use internet for 50cent an hour and have wifi connections for RM15 .. but still connections sux.. at least something rather than "nothing"

RM38 bucks for 384kbps unlimited with no telephone rent RM26 on top of it is wrong price ? or should it be RM26 phone rent + RM12 for 384kpbs unlimited combo? the real price is actually RM12 if your good in math.. (im not)

also Broad-band means... that particular digital line in regards to internet connection has a "broad" capability to handle data speed from XXkbps to XMbps which the line offered here is capable..unlike the old analog data transfer.. narrow band xxkpbs to xxkpbs ... thus its called "Broadband"...
