I am using Streamyx 4Mbps and my friend is unifi 5Mb.

both of us are almost having same download speed on the same file location.

what are the differences between UniFi and Streamyx and should I upgrade to UniFI when my place has coverage?

correct..and 4mb streamyx ur paying is about rm140 (correct me if i'm wrong) and unifi 5mb is rm149 (provided is VIP, not BIZ)..if u add rm60, u will get the speed 2.5x more than u have now..

on top of that, including phone and iptv as well..

just one thing you might consider to upgrade from streamyx 4mbps to unifi 5mbps :
----> unifi 5mbps download/upload speed = 5mbps
----> streamyx 4mbps max upload speed = 512kbps

why upload speed is important?
it's important if you need to upload bigger file size or upload video to youtube/etc

for unifi 5mbps upload and dl only for 149

free call to tm land lines too...

for me unifi bt more fast the streamyx and speed more consistent.
everytime speed test unifi ard 4-5 mbps+ only
but streamyx from 1-3 mbps+ only

so i think is worth the upgrade
