Uzu, u bounced up with a diffuser? see the shadows under the old lady's hand? that's the telltale that the light came from the front facing side of the diffuser... if you have a chance to try out, try removing the diffuser and bounce the same way.. you'll get a pic with a different mood.

Ahh i see. So when is a good time to use diffuser? Hows the white balance? I don't want it to be to yellow/blue/magenta colored . Here's a next one![]() |

for people shots, i judge WB using the skin tone. if the skin tone is good, the rest will be fine.
i usually diffuse it when the room is large enough for the side-spilling light to bounce off from, creating an 'envelope' of light around the subject, hence a more natural light. if its a small room, i'd slide on my big bounce card, spreading the light outwards, or if your back is a wall, bounce on it, works wonders! example of light bouncing from the back wall: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by lwliam: Jul 3 2010, 01:51 AM |

Fuh! Went n played with the Sony TX5 today damn nice la. 3 meter water proof for 60 minutes, dust proof, can shoot in -10C temps, shockproof to 1.5m drop, sweep panorama. Daaaaaaaaaaaamn it's delicious. Thing I hate is the damn MEmory Stick. Y the heck Sony insist on using MS. It's time for them to abandon it n just use SD. Even Olympus oso gave up on XD cards n join the SD train oredi.
