want to know how to use backup and restore for this X8? cant  find it!

i did install dx v10    no time to try the apps to memory card thingie yet..should be ok rite?

I am facing difficulty with this phone in term of battery life.

Battery life only last 1-2 days, despite only 1-2 call made.
Even with disable Wifi, 3G (only use GSM), and disable lot of background application.

Is it, the battery only can last that long?

long time didnt spend time here 
which rom dat mostly suitable for heavy gaming,
already tried hackdroid and CM7 roms,
but still feel so lag...

Tried everything lol. xRec is impossible cause i can't even see the SE logo.
SEUS and PCC won't show any update.
Flashtool didn't work too, cause i didn't enable debugging and unknown sources before my phone got bricked.

this x8 tool beta is for root or?

Bought an W8 for my son, somehow though it came with 2gb memory but after downloading few games from Market, it indicated "Phone memory space is running low".

Pls asst on how do i resolve this and how can i set it to install the games at the memory card?

Last resort, use SEUS to reflash to stock rom.
Yes, only when you flash in ur stock rom + wipe (recommended) then everything is gone.

I use this phone but one thing that always bugs me is two things though.

"No Sim Card" error and "*<no here>#" error.

But I still cant download Apps from the market!!

Never modified and yup.It is stock rom.its a good phone overall but sometimes whenever i use maxis *100# it always said no connection or something like that.

My firmware is Android 2.1-update 1. Android Eclair.

Great . The flavour is based in FreeXperia Rom? too bad as I was rooting for GingerDX. oh well, does this means that all the hardware drivers properly since AFAIK, SE rebuild their drivers binaries specially for them and they should be working in cm's official release?

Most importantly, I am still looking for the details for this version of this build before i start flashing it in....

I think one of the major things that x8 users are going to want answers are with the official cm7 rom is..

1. Are all hardware working properly since SE has specially rebuild the drivers for CM? (incl Camera, Radio etc.)
2. For those who are still using stock phone, do they still need to root manually first before installing the rom?
3. This is pretty vague, does our bootloader/kernel need to be hacked/flashed in order to install the official cm7 rom? SE specifically mentioned that if our bootloader is flashed, the warranty will be automatically void.

Rooting and flashing rom might be an easy process for experienced users but for newbies, its a major task where we have no idea on how confident we can be on our first try. I remember my first 2 tries even using SEUS, ended in failure. My friend end up burning his rom when he try to flash in the appropriate version of the kernel version. (in the end trace to a faulty ORIGINAL usb cable, which end up over-volting the phone).

If any of those point 1 is false, i don't see much help that SE has supposedly contributed towards the effort of cm at this point of time, given that GDX is a more complete rom for now.

I saw that based on your discussion with the other devs in XDA too. I am not very keen to unlock my bootloader and also to reflash my kernel. Can I still use GDX with stock kernel and bootloader?
In this sense, GDX seems to be ahead of FXP for now.
