QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 23 2011, 05:01 PM) I am facing difficulty with this phone in term of battery life. That was normal for this phone. Mine only can last for one day onlyBattery life only last 1-2 days, despite only 1-2 call made. Even with disable Wifi, 3G (only use GSM), and disable lot of background application. Is it, the battery only can last that long? This post has been edited by Deani_77: Aug 23 2011, 10:27 PM |

Good news for X8, bootloader unlocking almost complete. We can expect more custom rom using custom kernel...

Have you try using that SIM on other phone? But if that problem still happened and your phone still have warranty, better sent it to SE Center....My firmware is Android 2.1-update 1. QUOTE(vaizard @ Oct 10 2011, 05:59 PM) thank for ur reply bro..i try to do that..but can't connected the phone because i need to unlock phone first.... To reflash your phone using SEUS doesn't need unlock phone. It a normal procedure for most of the SE phone. Even to upgrade your phone with the latest official SE baseband we need to use that method.Added on October 11, 2011, 1:37 pm QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Oct 10 2011, 11:50 PM) I think one of the major things that x8 users are going to want answers are with the official cm7 rom is.. Just download and install CM official ROM, my first impression... nothing new... look the same as earlier FXP030 ROM... Camera still VGA, video recording, FM Radio still not working... All the features for CM ROM like ROM Manager and Update Notification in CM Setting still not working... 1. Are all hardware working properly since SE has specially rebuild the drivers for CM? (incl Camera, Radio etc.) 2. For those who are still using stock phone, do they still need to root manually first before installing the rom? 3. This is pretty vague, does our bootloader/kernel need to be hacked/flashed in order to install the official cm7 rom? SE specifically mentioned that if our bootloader is flashed, the warranty will be automatically void. Rooting and flashing rom might be an easy process for experienced users but for newbies, its a major task where we have no idea on how confident we can be on our first try. I remember my first 2 tries even using SEUS, ended in failure. My friend end up burning his rom when he try to flash in the appropriate version of the kernel version. (in the end trace to a faulty ORIGINAL usb cable, which end up over-volting the phone). If any of those point 1 is false, i don't see much help that SE has supposedly contributed towards the effort of cm at this point of time, given that GDX is a more complete rom for now. From my observation, SE only gave support for all 2011 device not the 2010 device, even at CM Forum only 2011 device thread available. The just cheat on us supporting the independent developer, not for all device but selected device. Older device like X8 still depends on the personal custom ROM made by brilliant developer at XDA Dev... and we will depend on XDA Dev to get most of our device not SE, not even CM... QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Oct 11 2011, 02:03 PM) I saw that based on your discussion with the other devs in XDA too. I am not very keen to unlock my bootloader and also to reflash my kernel. Can I still use GDX with stock kernel and bootloader? Yes, as long as DX still provided custom ROM that support stock kernel. In this sense, GDX seems to be ahead of FXP for now. To me unlock bootloader was to try out most of the thing that can be done to my device. I even unlock my X8 before custom kernel available. Yes, most of features GDX ahead of FXP even from the beginning everybody ahead of FXP. Because he/she write everything from source, other dev take from previous ROM lib. |
