Just to let you know, my friend who is in Dubai purchased the iPhone 4 direct from Apple Store Online UK, using a freight forwarding service called Aramex.

Just some points I'd like to highlight to you, which may give you useful information.

1. He used a credit card from UAE.
2. Order was accepted, and the phone arrived in his UK address (provided by Aramex) 3 weeks later.
3. Order was automatically forwarded to Dubai which took 2 days.
4. He had to pay customs duty on the iPhone.
5. iPhone from Apple Store Online UK is fully unlocked.

As for your last question. The best way to buy iPhone 4 from UK is to get someone (friend or family member, or maybe a forummer here) to buy it from UK Apple Store, and either give to you if he happened to be coming to Malaysia, or courier to you. (I am not sure about customs duty etc)

This in my opinion would be the fastest and most convenient way.

i got my second iphone 4....but unluckly i got an orange lock iphone 4....i need to wait 3 month more to unlock the phone officially by orange....

hmm. where you bought the phone? from orange shop? Phone from mobile providers are locked. Only phone from Apple stores are unlocked.

my brother bought it from a man that bought the phone from orange in UK...he though the iphone can be used it malaysia like he bought from apple store last time...but the previous owner agreed to help me too unlock it...but need to wait 2 month more. hopefully comex and planetbeing will release the tools soon....

well, as i said, only apple store ones are unlocked. those from telco ones are locked. It depends on the seller if he is getting the prepaid version then you can request for unlock by paying a certain amount to unlock the phone. I know you can do this in O2 but i am not sure about Orange.

Currently they dont provide unlock for iphone 4 yet (both O2 and orange). So you will have to wait for the news.

orange have provide the unlock for iphone 3gs...the guys who bought the iphone told me that orange will only unlock iphone 4 after 3 month after signing the contract....and the person who bought it only can unlock the phone...and it cost 20 pound to unlock it....

apple refunded the bumper case. anyone who bought the bumper case from apple store with credit card will be automatically refunded.

As for the free case program you can download the app on your phone and order a new case for free

another thing, I'm staying in malaysia and can i use my malaysia credit card to purchase iphone4 from apple store UK and ship it to UK address?

hm, i also saw japan iphone4 is selling much cheaper than UK one and its officially unlock. Not sure anyone had any experience in purchasing official unlocked iphone4 from japan?

No.... U need to use a UK based CC and ship it to the UK.

Yup.. that seems to be Apple Store's worldwide T&C.

I believe some of the guys did use Malaysian CC to purchase and send to UK address before.

But bear in mind the cost of the phone, the cost of sending it back, and warranty issue. I think it is better to get it from Singapore or Australia.

You still have to wait for 3 weeks for the item to be ready for shipping plus another 1 or 2 weeks for the item to reach the address in UK if you purchase it online

If I bought iphone 4 from Apple Store UK and sent it to my friend address in UK.

Do I have to activate it in UK using for example O2 microsim or can i just bring it back to Malaysia and pop my Celcom simcard (microsim "cut").

Can I activate it using celcom in Malaysia?

SiGh.. I think U should start reading the pinned threads. The UK Apple Store phones are unlocked sets hence works with whatever SIM U put in
