Dear Sir,

I would like to seek the help of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission's assistance in dealing with the customer service of TMNet Streamyx regarding my case as they had drag my case for more than 2 MONTHS without any improvement!

Below listed some of the events and phone calls which I made since the first day I filed my report.

8 June 2010
I filed my first report with the report no x-xxxxxxxxxx, as I had a difficult time to browse, play online game and perform remote desktop back to my office at night approximately around 9.30pm-2.00am, and I found out that my ping time to DNS (202.188.1.5 and 202.188.0.133) show a reply of more than 700ms. Speedometer test shows download: 337Kbps and upload: 186Kbps. My line is stable before and after the said time.

I called up TM regarding the report which I made on 8 June 2010 and found out my report had been closed on the same day (8 June 2010) without my consent. I got no choice but force to re-open my case as a new case with the report number x-xxxxxxxxxx.

TM managed to solve the high reply time, but then another issue arise. My ping time show a lot of request time out and a test to the speedometer shows a very bad result download: 214 upload: 240

TM do some port switching, but the problem never been solve. Slow connection speed still occur at 9.30pm - 2.00am.

TM consultant named Mr. Fendi came over to my place in the morning around 11.30am to check my line, but he did nothing as my line is stable during that time. He said he will report my case to cyberjaya to monitor my problem. At around 9.30pm the problem arise and my connection speed slow down and the ping to DNS keep giving a lot of request time out.

I called up Mr. Fendi for my update, and he told me that he had pass the case to cyberjaya and he can't me up on my case anymore.

A guy from 2nd level named Mr. Hassim called me and asked for my permission to separate my data and voice line, and I agreed with it.

04 July 2010
Mr. Hassim called me up and told me that the telekom at my premise don't allow them to split my data and voice because I don't face the slow internet connection speed 24/7 but at a certain time period only.

I received the last called from Mr. Hassim and he promised me that he will arrange someone to come over to my place at night to have a look at my problem. Since then I never received anymore called from Mr. Hassim and no one called me up to make appointment to come over to my place.

TM called me up and told me that my slow connection speed occur due to the migration which had been carried out at brickfield, and they perform the migration starting from 9.30pm.

I can't access to the speedometer for 23-26 July 2010. A guy from TM critical team named Mr. Khairy called me up and said that they are still verifying my problem.

TM consultant named Mr. Hafiz called me and re-confirmed with me that my problem is due to the brickfield migration and they are doing their best to solve my case.

I called up TM and a ladies from critical team named Ida picked up my call. She promised to assign a technical team to look into my problem

For the whole day I got a very good and stable connection speed even from 9.30pm - 2.00am, but this only lasted for 1 DAY!

I powered up my PC at 8.30pm and found out that my connection speed problem still persist, and the time had been change from 9.30pm to 8.30pm. I called up to the critical department from TM and she promised a technician will look over at my case the next day.

06 Aug 2010

3:00pm - I called up TM since no 1 called me up to update back on my case and Mr. Faizal picked up my called. He told me that no technical team reported regarding my case.

10.00pm - I do a few speedometer test with the result of lest than 400Kbps for Download and Upload. I called up TM, and Mr. Vasu picked my call. He told me that it is too late at night and he can't called up to the technical consultant named Mr. Hafiz who had been assigned to handle my case as he is working on office hour. He asked me to wait for someone to call me up, or I can called them up if I don't receive any call from them.

P/s:
Attached are some of the screenshot which I've taken. I've added in a good speed test screen shot which is named as "morning test03.jpg". Please look at the bandwidth monitor as it reflect directly that I am getting a very inconsistent speed during the said time from 9.30pm - 2:00am but not before or after timestamps.

I've an 80MB of screenshot for the this case since the day this case had been reported, and if there's a need I can burn it to CD/DVD for your reference and action.

After a hellish last week, speed is coming back with stability.

I think its time for TM to announce their fair usage policy rather than quietly shape the connection.

everything is "A" OK here....speed is back normal for me

everything will ok until u stream video up to certain gigs then ur dloading speed will back to around 10kbps.

Ugh, this is terrible. I keep getting disconnected. And when I do get reconnected, the speed's darn slow.

Same here and the technician said it's my modem problem tell me to switch to UNIFI

I saw many tm labour put some obstacle on the road to do some business wif their damn cable near kuchai lama area =(

Anyone play AION and Guildwars with streamyx here? Last night suddenly i cant even get into the game. Even if i get in ..... it will dissconnect from the game later

can hardly even download linux ISO, surfing is slow.

Same here man..even lowyat is slow today.Disconnected 5 times in the last 10 minutes

after download some gb...speed capped at 60kb/s...

anyone from Kuching having problem connecting to screamyx :s?

Currently in Bintulu, was doing my work and apparently 1 hour ago, line down. No IP even reconnecting.
Now using wireless digi. Lol

im frm kuching, around 4pm like tat i cant connect to streamyx, no IP.....
