I think streamyx had done some adjustment among us because some of us can surfing the net with high speed so it will deduct out ping speed means the respond speed.
If in a area there all ppl using the internet at the same time with high speed it will cause the server in that area facing slower respond.


For me is prefer streamyx give me larger bandwidth I'm seldom playing Online Games

i remember that yesterday my ip was on 124.xx.xx.xxx

i can get full speed....

but on 60.xx.xx.xx only 3/4 speed

that siggy was years back when streamyx when haywire and give a an hour of 20mb~ now my speed isdownstream 300kb upstream 600kb, 1mb package... upload is constantly 600kbps~ while the downstream each time the modem restarted, different speed is given between 100-400kb~ when connected to the 1mb line, it tend to disconnect and reconnect to a lower speed port~

I think TM has re-shuffled IPs again. I am also getting IP ranges these few days which I wasn't getting last couple of months. Maybe they are assigning the good IPs to different areas at different times in turns so not everyone will complain all at once?

Sounds like your DSL attenuation and stuff aren't sufficient to support it, but they still give you. When I wanted to apply for 4mb, they said, even if attenuation is sufficient, distance from DSLAM also is part of the cause if you can get 4mb. They tested on mine and said I might encounter dc and unstable speed. Ditched the plan, go for 1mb. Safer.

how come insufficient?? i was using 1mb for like 5 years~ slow problem just started 3 weeks ago~

I don't know what happen to my connection. This morning around 8AM I can get 1.5Mbps download speed. But after I come back from work ... I get this surprise:

I got my SS of my SNR margin 2 years ago which is 12.0 for down, 11 for up yet that time I'm getting full speed without any problem... Now SNR is 18.0 for down, 9 for up and I'm getting 64kbps for up/downstream~

but then the ping is freaking nice~ <50 from singapore and around 150 for japan and us~ no SS cause speed is too slow to upload~ play flying spaghetti monster smoothly, online game no lag at all~ but the speed is just tooooo slow to even browse facebook~

this is really weird~ after 3 weeks of 64kbps... just restarted the modem... I get 200kbps~ LOL hope this last... gona use the whole night download everything b4 the line fked up again... ><

we're experiencing ridiculous pings during peak hours for the past 2 months already. complaint until dunno how to complain already.

TM is very smart nowadays, hire idiots to pick up calls and read script... so, customer gets frustrated complaining and stopped complaining even though issue still no solved. To TMnut, doesn't matter... customer still have to subscribe with them coz the monopolize broadband, and going wireless is even worst.... this is Malaysia service to it's nation at its best! FTW!!!
