Razer DA will fit your budget but please make sure that your friend will use lighter color mousepad and avoid cloth mousepad. This will reduce the LoD of the Avago 3888 sensor. smile.gif

Better tell us what gaming gears your friend is using so we can advise better. if he had a top of the line mouse, a gaming keyboard or speakers is a better gift

Certain sensor works better in certain surface, you need to research to know which suits best for AVAGO sensor or Philips Twin Eye sensor. depends on the product that you're trying to buy.

I would go for proven palm grip shapes mice, in the mold of MX518, like Logitech g500. AllITHypermart at lowyat have a hanging demo unit of razer lachesis, so you should try it there to see if it fits your hand.

The first 3 games are FPS games, so having higher DPI for 1:1 pixel mapping would be ideal. But we still have no idea what mouse he's currently using. If he's using a 5 year old mouse, then a high DPI mouse would be great. If not, then probably a gaming headset.

The easy gift would be a gaming mousepad. But what to buy depends on what gears he have right now.
