usually this will happened to ambitions. is ur ambitions installed to your normal C drive? I have the same problem when I installed it in a different drive but when I installed it to the C drive, it was okay. This is only with Ambitions I encountered so far

Yes, my ambitions is installed to C drive.
I tried manually uninstall and re-install..not working..
I even tried manually patching up the game..updating the patch one by one. That worked for a while until I got to patch 1.5.

As a last resort I'm going to reformat my laptop this weekend, which is something I've been meaning to do for a few weeks now. At last, something to motivate me to do it.

LOL...I didn't format my laptop just because of sims...been wanting to do it for a while...BUT since this incident..I kena buat jugak la..hahaha..

and guess what?

it worked! the patches are updated...!! And I can play...but I won't yet..I'm going to get Late Night and Generation first. When's Pet going to come to our shores? Is the Stuff Pack worth it to buy?

hi guys...can anyone recommend me a decent laptop for Sims3? the current HP laptop that i have...even after tuning the graphics down...it still crash after half an hour play...

i'm preferring asus...

People there could help you on that.

i thought of that...but fear of notebook 'fanboism' might clouded the judgement....which i why i asked from the gamers perspective or experience...

if any of u have ever used or played Sims3 in a laptop and it run smoothly wifout crashing halfway....preferably wif at least most of the graphic settings set to medium...
pls do share...

else i might just have to go wif my Plan B - which is to forego the mobility factor, i.e. PC desktop ftw...

Most recent model should be able to cater to your needs. Just look for those with 1GB graphics and good enough processor and it should be fine.

I'm actually playing it on Alienware M11X-R2, which was from 2 years ago. It still works pretty fine to me.

uhmmm i using acer 5755g can play sim3 with no problem high settings.

1) I have the sims 3 retail since 2009 from tsb. If i buy pets from tsb or pbbseller, confirm the region will be the same, right?
