summary of today's matched:
with over 13 shots compare to opponents 6, we should score more goals instead of 1...overall team performance i would rate 6/10...sturridge almost our hero today...i believed there is more to come for this man..if carlo plays him regularly....terry seems to be well paced-off....worst player for me was Ashely, he seems to be totally poor in defense today and LAZY too...thinking too much of FANS booed him i guess...kalou really wasted some glorious chances for us..otherwise C.S is in our bag...and last but not least i admired chicharito this fellow will be the MAN 2 WATCH in BPL...why cant chelsea scout these kind of player to us.. hmm.gif anyway i'm not too carried away with this cup lost ...still we did perform well but...after kalou pulled one back...were not pressuring the devils...that was caused the goal no.3 to devils...otherwise penalties on the way... doh.gif dont worry blues...chelsea will back with a bang....chelsea seems to play well without mikel in terms of attacking variations...we SERIOUSLY need some player with EXTRA creativity, EXTRA edge, EXTRA skills, EXTRA speed...that fellow hopefully will be 'RAMIRES' CLOSE TO BRIDGE... thumbup.gif GOOD NIGHT whistling.gif

I see Daniel Sturridge stepping up to take more responsibilities now

I believe that was Essien, if the Sturridge 1on1 with goalie u were referring to..
Really didnt expect the ball to cut thru MU's defence that easily..

He wants of the ball now, I think pre-season helped with his confidence.

Don't panic yet, guys. I know we shoulda done better tonight but honestly both teams played like it was a friendly game, I mean the pace and the seriousness? Still not feeling it. It was kinda boring actually..Even SAF made 3 changes at halftime, pretty apparent that he still wanna give his players match fitness and experimenting with things.

Hopes Ramires lands at SB in time and CA tighten things up at the back when the season really kicks off.

Maximum of 25 man players over 21 years of age of which at least 8 must be HG. I guess if you can't meet that number, you can register your reserve/youth players in the list. Players under the age of 21 doesn't count and is unlimited so you can have as many as you want.

QUOTE
Home-grown players do not have to be English; home-grown players are defined as those who "irrespective of nationality or age, have been affiliated to the FA or Welsh FA for a period of three seasons or 36 months prior to 21st birthday"

Agree with you. When you see Chelsea last nite, it look watching same Chelsea last season. Nothing new, nothing special. Compared to MU when they introduced Chicarito, really envy. Young talent and look decent. Only Sturridge really make Chelsea look good.

Ramires really good addition to this squad but Chelsea really need attacking player who can rejuvenate this aging team. Kalou? 4 season already but his development look flat and stagnant.

Suddenly I feel like we need some Defenders!
If Ashley still perform like this, we only have Zhirkov can really cover his place.

not to worry much..just like AC said before, the player still not ready for new season after world cup..need 2 weeks more for fitness

1. chelsea play better without mikel
2. love essien..more dynamic from midfield
3. hilario..hilario..

I don't really agree with your 1st statement.. I think mikel doing great last night.. based on my observation, if CA decided to take out kalou intead of mikel, we might win last night game.. kalou did nothing really (aside from the goal).. we lost "lots" of chance because of his dribble.. he can't even dribble to past one defender most of the time..

madfag's game review!

Hilario - no solid performance as usual. for the million th time, we miss big pete. enough chances has been given, all we've got is disappointment. you can blame the shaky defense, but i good goal keeper could have done much better.

ferreira - i would say he did play a good game. sneaked past defenders and also very decent in defence against the fast united wingers. I would include him in the starting XI for the west brom game.

ivanovic - i am a huge fan of brana. 10/10 performance for me. except for one rather dangerous back pass to hilario, could have been disastrous. he also could have we back to defend against valencia's goal, but who could blame him for still marking chicha/rooney? great in the air in defense and attack, never let go of his mark. he is definitely starting for me.

terry - mediocre performance. enough said.

ashley - lacks of communication with malouda, not fit enough to return back to defense after those bombarding runs down the left. still the number one left back for me once he has return to full fitness.

mikel - as usual, very solid holding the ball, one good long range pass to kalou. not much of a threat in attack.

lampard - rather quiet. no dangerous passes or creative play from what i can see.

essien - definitely the player to play as DM infront of the back four. he adds the support the attackers and defenders need. awesome pass to sturridge and puts in some dangerous shots. XI.

kalou - bench. yes he scored but he was terrible. he couldnt get past defenses, no dangerous passes, loses possession. i dont know how bad can he be.

anelka - not suited as a center forward unless we have 5 people in midfield. he drifts to the back and being marked by vidic isnt helping. i would definitely play him alongside drogba instead of kalou.

malouda - mediocre. did no combine with either frank or ashley very well but is strong to hold the ball and get past defenders a few times.

sturridge - we've really got a good prospect here. he might not be an instant hit but this lad is definitely going somewhere.

yuri - he looks quite dangerious in attack. i really love his runs into the box, its too bad his cross wasnt put in.

drogba - im sure he could be better with more fitness and time on the pitch.

benny - a few decent displays here and there. not a threat at goal yet.

ancelotti should definitely go back to the old line up for the 433 formation with benny replacing bally. ramires could be fitted into the DM position while essien takes the RM role.

Thanks footballcrazie. Watched the highlight that you given.

hmm.gif I can say kalou is stupid. So sorry to say that. I rather put malouda in front and put Lampard in LM. No place for Kalou. Kalou is too nervous. He need to calm down. Look at the open goal he got, and then he missed it -.-
And remember against Pompey, the one Ashley pass to him, he hit it on the bar.

Malouda-Drogba-Anelka
Lampard-Ramires-Essien

See this, don't you feel ultimate formation?
About Ashley cole position, I can confirm Zhirkov is about same level with Ashley Cole. If Ashley wanna leave, let him go. But, if Zhirkov injured? This question who gonna answer it?

nothin special about kalou..he is not improving
yes he scored..but is just not good enough to be chelsea squad.
he always just run into the wrong places with the ball.

n im very disappointed about anelka..wtf he doing
he suppose to be our lone striker at 1st half..n he just play like he play for france

n double thumbs up for sturidge..he is good
i thinks he can be more better than kalou n anelka now
