we lost due to simple mistakes; a STAR is BORN "JOSH" he shud be playing in chelsea's every match from this weekend..mind u carlo!....i believed in by the age of 20 he will be a superstar in chelsea heart of midfield...he is pure play-maker....last not least how on earth anelka scored tht coolest penalty ever taken under MOST pressure circumstances ever!...i almost thought it went wide.....paolo hit post is really unlucky, he shud try with his left foot....dont worry....its just a league cup...we can replace it with CL trophy this season!

overall, it was a good game by both teams.
i was very impressed with josh, annholt and kakuta. bruma did quite well too i think, he is still young and is prone to mistakes in defending. the seniors all had an okay game. the two players that disappoint me tonight is turnbull and sturridge. as the last line of defense i would expect him to make some crucial save and command the box but no, he is still unable to perform. sturridge was horrible tonight. he could not finish and his passes were finding no one. i dont know why kakuta was taken out so early, maybe because of the earlier knock but sturridge should have went out in for kalou. well, its also unfortunate that kalou and benny had problems which made it more difficult for us. the positives from this game would be the birth of soon to be stars josh and annholt. hell, i was thinking of getting josh's shirt soon! |

The only positive I can take from this game is Josh.
Kakuta : Good game, he could do better. Anelka : As usual, vital in our attack with his pace and technique. Should have scored 3 goals. Cool PK Ramires : Steamroll everything. Keep on running till the end of the game. Good energy. Our bulldozer. Now we have Bison, Bison Jr and Bulldozer. Yuri : Timing his run very well, but always picked the wrong pass. Sturridge : I didnt even notice him on the field! Worst player of the night. Aanholt : Good pace, great pass. But he lost his marker for the first goal. Paolo : Stupid mistake. Yet again prove that when he's performed, he's damn good. But when he is not, he sucks real hard! Bruma : Solid at the back, but his passes going astray most of the time. Turnbull : Why the hell he's not guarding the far post on Taylor's FK? Josh : Our future! I see Zidane + Pirlo in him. This post has been edited by jenglots: Sep 23 2010, 04:54 AM |

Few things to note;
1) Turnbull is not good enough to be a player in Chelsea, should he be settle as coach in Chelsea or seek his opportunity else where. 2) Bruma is shaky at first but he gets better and better. Need more exposure of games 3) van Aanholt did good enough to show he is ready to step up whenever there's an injury on the left side. One goal and one assist is good enough for starter. 4) "Looks like a new star is coming up in Stamford Bridge" is what I heard about Josh McEachran. His touch and passing just amazing for a 17 year old kid, not to mention his ball control ability! 5) Ramires needs more time to adapt. Can see he's struggle due to his size. Step up for Essien's role was too early for him 6) Ferreira again never prove himself hes better than Bosingwa. One mistake cost us the game. Overall, I'm satisfied with the result despite a loss to us. But hell, who cares about loss when we have TWO gem in the making? Josh McEachran and van Aanholt are ready anytime to step up. Finally our investment have show some return now. BUT, Newcastle did play well tonight. They must be train very hard to earn it. Salute them. haha..
Chelsea really miss Essien and Mikelele..it's like a hole in midfield.. CA introduced McEachran and he fill that void with holding the ball and make a good runs..looks like we got Lampard prodigy here.. the result not concern me..it's just a league cup.. what concern me more is the injury of Kalou and Benayoun..hopefully not too serious.. i'm really enjoy the game coz we played 10 men for 20minutes with 1-3 down and the mentality of the players is superb.. |
